From bright splashes of color to more subtle designs, all have a Mexican flair that translates well to the United States. I have two of these bags (they last forever) and constantly get compliments when I carry them to work in the city or out for wine with the girls. These are not souvenirs, they are fashion statements and are priced well below designer handbags in the states. Apart from the beautiful merchandise, the level of attention and service rivals Nordstoms, they truly care about their clientele and take the time to be sure the shopping or window shopping is a great experience. And I came across a nice selection and got a cork covered one which was very unique. There was a good selection of women's clothes and other local items. I like scarves. I have a collection of football ones, keffiyehs, and others scarves that keep dust out of my faces as well as provide warmth on our chilly mountains morns. There was one scarf that was brown and kinda natural colors that I added to my collection. If by chance you show up in San Miguel without realizing that most of the roads are cobbled, and…read morethe sidewalks are narrow and sometimes uneven, and if you've ended up packing inappropriate shoes, OR you just appreciate good looking but comfortable footwear, THIS is the place for you. We (3 women) ended up buying 9 pairs between us, and might have bought more if we found a few others in our sizes. The shoes are made of cushy soles and stretchy tops, so you don't even have to break them in. You will find almost all the shoes they have in stock right on the shelf (organized by size) which makes it very easy to try out all sorts (even the ones you doubt will work--we found a few surprises that way!). The owner is a glamorous character too, which added to the fun. Plan to spend at least 30 mins here (leave the guys elsewhere--no men's shoes). Each pair was a bargain at around 500 pesos (approx $25). I believe they sell online too, but with shipping it's pricier.
