History
Established in 2005.
Inspired by the colors, exuberance and traditions of Mexico, Patrice Wynne created "Abrazos San Miguel", her boutique store and production company designing textile products, handmade by local seamstresses and located on one of San Miguel de Allende's most popular shopping neighborhoods.
Her Collection has grown from a line of popular aprons and shower curtains to kitchen wares, handbags, baby bibs, women's dresses, men's shirts, children's clothes, and much more. The Abrazos Collections are sold in museums all over the world from Paris to Beirut to Mexico City. She uses textiles of Mexican cultural icons such as Frida Kahlo, La Virgen, Day of the Dead, Luchadores, Chilis, Corazones, Loteria and more which characterize the "fiesta" of life in Mexico.
Patrice's life and work has been featured in the New York Times, the Huffington Post and awarded, "Real Heroes of Mexico, 2013" and "Gifts with a Mission", an international award for women entrepreneurs and creators.
Meet the Business Owner: Patrice W.
Patrice is a former independent bookseller from Berkeley, California who discovered San Miguel de Allende 20 years ago and never went home again. She is crazy for all things Mexican from icons and traditions to the culture and the food. She often says that though her nationality is American, her heart is "Puro Mexicano."
