I tried to make an appointment to speak with an admissions counselor and was unsuccessful. I sent over 60 emails back and forth with their supposed scheduling team and every time I would agree to a meeting time, that they proposed, they would then tell me the time was unavailable. This happened about 10 times. Their online student handbook has literally hundreds of typographical errors. I don't think I would trust my education to an organization that can't even spell. I am very disappointed. I really wanted to go to the school but they cost 10 times more than any other flight attendant school and it seems like they don't even want the business. read more

Be very careful doing business with The Travel Academy. The owner, Randy Juen, hired our electrical contracting company to wire new circuits for a microwave, projector and office furniture. The work was completed in September of 2020 and we have yet to be paid by him. All of our calls, emails and in person visits requesting payment have gone unanswered. His instructor Lynn VanOrt/owner who we have spoken to in person will not even return calls. The current balance owed is close to $1,000. This review will remain posted until Randy Juen and The Travel Acedemy pays their invoice!!!!!! I'm guessing he does not allow his students to sign up for class without paying for tuition... I've been trying to contact this place for 3 days with no avail. No one has responded to my inquiries on social media, phone or email. I'm a former attendee in need of something and no one will respond to my messages. On behalf of this program, it's an absolute waste of time and hard earned cash. I thought I would give me foot into the travel agent industry but I was able to do more in my own time, by myself. In terms of the flight attendant program, all airlines train so it's a waste of money and they only work with regional airlines so good luck trying to make any sort of a living in that career. I never received any type of employment assistance after I graduated and now that I actually need help, no one is responding. I don't care how desperate you are to work in this industry, you can do more with a fabulous attitude and strong work ethic instead of the lousy certificate they give you. It's only my first day of school, and I really liked it. From what I have seen so far, all of the teachers and staff are really nice! They seem like they all genuinely want to help the students. I like that the class size is small so we aren't all fighting over a teacher, more one on one time I hope. The day is a bit lengthy for me: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. I'm not used to being in class that long for a year now. The classrooms are nice and clean. Everyone has a desktop and they let you use their printers. The school all around just looks great! My name is Tyler Soltow, I was a past student at the Travel Academy. I ran Into a whole bunch of problems with this school. First and foremost If your a minority they did not care for you no matter what, unfortunately there was a lot of hate coming from the teachers, for students who were gay, had a language barrier, and etc. I experienced this first hand when one of the students asked if the one kid who was Vietnamese, if he could possibly get his test printed out in Vietnamese to make it a little better for him to understand and read. the teacher was not happy with the request and told him that he had to do the test like everyone else. Another problem that I ran into was the lack of help that was given to the students when needed. An example of this was from my own personal experience when I asked one of my instructors if they could possibly help explain this a little better to me. This did not go over well she told me that it was on the piece of paper and if you do not understand it then that is your fault! Me personally, I am not the type of student that can read a piece of paper and the have all of the steps memorized and be able to do it on my own. The one problem of them all that stood out to me the most was the poor testing they had. The instructors were good about informing us when we had a test, which was very good on there part, but the one thing that they lacked was the when you put something on a study guide, and study for countless hours and then have nothing that was on the study guide be on the test gets very frustrating after awhile. All in all this school had its moments when you thought to yourself Yeah! this is alright. But the shady moments thinking that you were involved in a scam outweighed the other feeling read more

I attended The Travel Academy in MN and it was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. The school provides housing, bus transportation to and from school Mon- Fri. On Wednesday's you are provided with transportation to grocery shop and get housing needs (etc.) Walmart, Dollar tree, Kohls, Cubs food, Burger king, Mcdonalds etc. are a 2 mile radius from the student housing provided. Student housing includes a gym, office, laundromat and pool/ mini lake kayak beach area as part of the apartment complex. I specifically stayed at Lemay Lake Apartments. The Neighborhood is very peaceful and wonderful for studying. Now the review for the school itself... they are located in a building full of separate office chains. The school is wonderful the staff are motivational great and very helpful with instructions. Recruiters do come to the school to interview students majoring in Travel and tourism. School is from 9AM-330PM central time Mon-Fri. Classes teach all 3 Main courses Flight attendant, Cruise Attendant and Travel Agent classes are split into 3 classes per everyday. Usually one class itself would take up 2 hours of the day. Lunch is around 1pm unless they switched hours and once you reach 5 weeks segment of the 10 weeks in school ( If you do the 10 week Program) we rotate lunch and some would eat early at 1pm while others wait until 130pm to eat. You become certified in Travel and Tourism. There are study groups after school and a mini roll backpack would be recommended for books and binders. Be sure to have your information and learned those airport codes as well ;] Further Information is bring a suit for interviews and be aware that you are being trained for all sections including Flight Attendant, Cruise Attendant and Travel Agent. read more
