He not only called us multiple times to make sure everything was just right for our big day, but met up with us multiple times to confirm and take notes, do a walk-through of our venue, and let us taste our specialty cocktails. He made sure he was getting the best prices for us on all the alcohol because he truly understood how expensive weddings can be. He was easy to get ahold of and so personable. During and after the wedding most of our guests came to tell us how great he and his team were. He was even willing to jump in on my crazy ideas to have beer boys and take a unity shot during the ceremony. He provided cold beer to the beer boys and came out during the ceremony (in the pouring rain) with a tray of shots for myself, my husband, and the bridal party. We would book him again tomorrow for ANY event. Charles and Classic Cocktails are truly genuine people who go above and beyond for their clients. Thanks for making our day so magical Charles! *When we get the pictures back, I will add more photos.

From the initial inquiry all the way through the event, they were responsive, communicative, organized, and paid attention to every single detail we mentioned. They flawlessly served 180 guests during our 1.5 hour cocktail hour and 4.5 hour reception, and every drink was delicious. Eduardo worked closely with us to customize our signature cocktails and even created a personalized menu that perfectly matched our wedding theme. They went above and beyond by decorating the bar with black bows and including custom cocktail stirrers with our initials -- such thoughtful touches that made everything feel extra special. Their candy shot was AMAZING and definitely a guest favorite. But the real hit of the night was their shot cart and the light-up "Just Married" sign -- it kept the party going and had everyone so excited and engaged all night long! Our guests could not stop raving about how friendly, personable, and fun the bartenders were. On top of that, they were punctual, professional, and made the entire experience completely stress-free. I'm genuinely sad we won't be seeing them anytime soon because working with Eduardo and the entire team was such a pleasure. I cannot recommend Island View Catering enough. Buckle up, there's a lot I want to say…read more We had a Sept 2020 wedding originally, so we were part of the postponement crew. We postponed one year so we got married in Sept 2021. I had to move all my vendors, which I did so successfully. Then, due to some unfortunate circumstances, my original caterer cancelled on us about 4 months prior to the wedding. I was frantic as this was a very competitive year due to all the postponements. I started reaching out to anyone and everyone and to my surprise, I still had a lot of options. I got on the phone with Avrey and he was the first person that really put my mind at ease and made it clear that he could and would do his best to mostly match the menu I had already created and work with me on budget that I already had. He was such a fabulous person to talk to and work with; I just felt really at ease and like my opinions and needs were being taken care of. I'm also in the service business, and I admired the way he was treating me as a potential client. I ended up signing with them and the proposal process was very clear, professional, and smooth. Then he met my wedding planner, and she also thoroughly enjoyed working with Avrey and his team, and that was impressive to me. Then comes the wedding day - holy crap - I had SO MANY people come up to me and tell me not only that the food was absolutely phenomenal (we had a taco bar and delicious apps), but that anyone who ran into one of the catering team members was so impressed by them. I had brought my own bartender, a friend of the family, and she also had nothing but great things to say about the catering team. I later found out that we ran out of margaritas that we had premade, and Avrey said great we'll make more. I am still not even aware of what ingredients we had and didn't have, but somehow they made more. So to be clear, his team went back and juiced a ton of limes and made more batches of margaritas, which they were never responsible for in our contract/plans. My parents and some family friends did a lot of the take-down of the wedding. The catering staffed helped them tremendously - again, not their job. They helped box up extra wine, extra food, and even carry it to my parents car and help them load. The food was INCREDIBLE, and it was so beautifully presented; the team was top notch. Your catering team really makes the wedding flow - if they're disorganized or anything less than stellar, so are your and your guests' experiences. I had so many people tell me that this is the best wedding food they've ever had. Avrey is one of the most professional caterers I've come across - his communication is impeccable, and he just cares about doing a good job. Do yourself a favor, call Avrey and book them for whatever event you have coming up. I only wish I had more events to hire them for.

To be honest, I was initially hesitant about joining a bartending school; I had heard from others…read morethat what you get out of it, experience and knowledge-wise, wasn't worth the money, time, and effort. However, I definitely don't think that anymore. I am incredibly grateful I enrolled, despite what I had heard, and finished the course! Not only did I receive hands on experience by practicing in their mock bar, but I also was able to learn all types of cocktails, alcohol types, brands, and liqueurs etc quickly. For someone like me, I like to make sure I know how to do things before I get thrown into situations; learning as I go in a work setting can be nerve-wracking so I was very pleased to be able to build up confidence in my pours and counts before I started bartending events. For me, this type of training was imperative before attempting to work at a restaurant. NBS staff is knowledgeable as it gets when it comes to the craft. They're there to encourage and help you whenever you have questions while practicing, which has been helpful to me. They don't just teach you how to make drinks, but they also educate you on how to address customer service situations too (i.e. a very drunk customer and needing to cut them off). They touch all bases in this course. The lessons are very easy to take in and the class schedules are flexible to your own needs. You could finish the course in two weeks if you really put your mind to it, or you can take it slower like I did. Either way, I'm very happy with my decision to have gone to NBS. I've learned so much and now I have been working steadily for events for them! Don't let people tell you bartending school isn't worth it! It definitely is!
