Established in 2008.

Retail Store and Gallery Showcasing artwork by emerging and mid-career artists of all backgrounds, experience and all abilities. An extension of the Hubbard County Developmental Achievement Center Fine Arts Studio. The Tin Ceiling was created to provide a therapeutic work environment for people who suffer from mental illness. It allows adults opportunities to experience work benefits with a sense of accomplishment, a sense of pride, a work environment where mental illness is NOT a barrier to success. You will also find specially made pieces by some of our talented employees! The Tin Ceiling team is grateful for your donations and support!

With my keen eye, I found a Fiesta brand mug for free. I was passing through from Bemidji to Moorhead. I think it supports the local DAC or Day Activity Center for people with challenges.

The is a main floor that has several rooms, an up stairs (no AC) and an outdoor courtyard, each loaded with all sorts of items. The owners were there while I was looking around; very congenial and friendly. According to their FB page there is a friend dog named "Kirby" but I did not have the fortune to met him. Definitely worth stopping and looking around. You might even find something like I did, a puggy pie maker for camping.

We were first disappointed they were closed on our Twosday anniversary 2-22-22 while visiting Park Rapids during our four day celebration, but Laura worked hard to open the store on a Wednesday after a snowstorm. Their collections of unique gifts is impressive and we purchased so many gifts, many unique to Park Rapids. Our last day in Parks Rapids was made so much better thanks to the gift suggestions made by Laura. This has to be the best gift shop in Park Rapids.
