Those experiences have been mixed as in some places we found a terrific agent and others we did not. In selling our West-End Beaumont home we were extremely lucky to find Dayna Simmons Real Estate. Dayna herself came out and met with Lisa and I. Her comp numbers/examples, view point of the current market, and recommendations for the best approach were refreshing. They are probably to most tech savvy group we have ever used with respect to digital media and targeted advertising. Her team includes agents, a staging professional, an in-house photographer and specialists that deal with listings and digital media. Even those answering the phone were true real estate professionals. We had access and exposure to everyone on her team. A true focus on selling our home as quickly and for as much as possible. The bottom line is that results are what matter most. We accepted an offer within 3 days of the listing going live. Phone calls, text messages and the special "group chat" they set up were all answered within minutes. Communication was truly the best we have ever experienced. Every step was professional and made easy by Dayna and her team. Without a doubt Dayna and her company have our highest recommendation. There is truly no one better!

I hired Dayna Simmons Real Estate to help me sell a home we inherited in Orange, TX. We live in…read moreanother state, so I was looking for someone who would give me good advice on the market, and be there for us as we worked through this process. I received terrible advice on the market, and was told I'd be lucky if the house sold in 6 months to a year. I had 2 offers in a week and a half, and 4 others who wanted to make offers but never got the chance. The buyer used a different realtor, yet I was told by Dayna how they went "above and beyond" to sell the house, and aren't your typical realtor. That's why they wanted to charge me 6.5%. When I pushed back, I was told the going rate in TX is 7 to 7.5% for real estate sales. A simple Google search told me that wasn't true! An estate sale agent was recommended by them, that canceled on us the night before. When I brought this to their attention I was told, "That's why we don't like to recommend people". WHAT?? They did recommend that agent!! Then, as we were clearing out the house, and holding the sale ourselves, I kept getting text messages asking when we would be out of the house. It became so annoying, I just starting ignoring. them. As far as I was concerned, we had until closing to be out. Most communication was via text message. I certainly didn't think this was a proper way to do business. It was like we were working for her, not the other way around. Then at closing, I was again told what a great job they did in selling the house so fast and what a great market it is in that area. In short, I would not recommend this real estate company. I felt like everything was to their advantage, including the closing, which was scheduled in Beaumont when the house is in Orange. I wish I had gone with another agent.

I can't say enough good things about Katie Martin. We began our relationship with Katie in 2011,…read morewhen we were transferred from Delaware to Orange, Texas. We had less than a week to find the perfect house. I worked with Katie to get together a list of suitable homes, and she had the appointments all perfectly lined up when we got to Texas. We looked at 30+ homes in just a few days! We did end up finding our home, and got our deal negotiated and even our inspection set up before we left. When we were transferred out of Texas in 2015, we listed our home with Katie. She came and gave us a market analysis, with all of the information we needed to list our home for the right price. She even had a professional photographer come to make sure that our house got the most attention possible. She stayed in contact regularly, and updated us with weekly stats. The one thing that is most important to me when working with a realtor is communication - and Katie is SO incredibly quick to respond, whether by phone, email, or text. You always feel like a priority to Katie; you know that she has your best interests in mind. I only wish that I could have taken her along with me when we moved!

She was "out of town" or unavailable for other reasons A LOT. She was very unorganized. She would request information that had been sent to her 3 weeks earlier. When she responded to emails, she wouldn't address the questions we had asked her. She would say she was going to make calls, send pictures, etc., and wouldn't follow through. Terrible experience! I do not recommend using Debbie H. as a realtor. When we signed the contract with her, we thought she was the best in the area. Boy, were we wrong. We did get our house sold, but it was like pulling teeth to get her to do her part.

We have worked with "nationwide" real estate agencies in the past, and we now see the amazing difference in working with a family-owned, local agency. All in all, we walked away from this experience feeling satisfied and relieved to have made the right choice in choosing a representative and advocate for the sell of our home. We will gladly choose SETX Properties again!

She found this two bedroom small, used mobile home at Kabco. It was a 2009 buy-back, furnished. While discussing the purchase, she dealt with Travis who was nice enough to text me and answer every question, was never pushy, was very in tune to our situation, and worked with every request we had. He even went out and videoed a walk-through of the entire home and sent it to us so she wouldn't have to go in. She was concerned about several things and pointed them out. He said they would all be fixed and replaced at no extra cost. Also, upon moving in and getting it all hooked up, if anything else was discovered, it would be fixed as well. She bought it during the week and it was delivered and set up by Friday! While doing the paperwork, everything was explained well, no surprises, and her photo was taken welcoming her to the Kabco family. I truly feel like these people are a part of our family now. They were the best I've ever dealt with! I would definitely buy from them again as they are extremely trustworthy, a family run business, with photos of the beautiful grandkids all over the office. Any message sent at any time of the day or night was immediately answered. You just don't find people like them anymore!!!!
