    I can't believe some of the reviews on here unless the day we visited all the chefs had died , we…read morehad dinner here on the 23rd of november2025 and without doubt this is the worst dinner I have ever had in a pub, lamb that tastes of nothing, roast potatoes that were rock hard tasteless and a rather strange colour, cauliflower cheese that was so runny and tasteless I doubt very much it had any cheese in it, I ate only a small portion of my meal and left the rest, the only reason I didn't make a fuss is because it was a 50th birthday and didn't want to ruin their day. this meal had all the appearance of food cooked a day or two ago and reheated for us, disgusting avoid this place like the plague.

There is a good selection of lagers, beers and wines plenty of cosy seating spread through the building as well as a large garden for kids outside. Located just off the busy A10 but far enough away that you wouldn't know it's there it is an ideal spot if you are passing and they also offer B&B accommodation as well. Probably what it is best known for is the Sunday lunches they serve which are probably the best in the area. Admittedly they aren't cheap and it'll set you back around £20 a head after drinks etc but it is worth experiencing once or for special occasions.
