Touristy spot near the main area of Amsterdam. Had some friends are already been here and we found it online again, and decided to hit it up. The inside, while big, it's quite cozy. They have giant chairs and round booths that let you escape the crowd. The bar itself seems like it has a lot of history and the entire space is beautiful. The bathrooms are down a serious flight of stairs, and I don't smell amazing, but they are generally clean. The service is not amazing and you have to constantly call for your server or ask a host to find one. The prices did seem pretty reasonable for being in such a downtown spot. They have a pretty decent menu with some samplers, and while nothing seemed to be amazing, it was a nice option.

This is the most beautiful pub I have ever been in. If you are ever in Amsterdam, you have to go. We didn't eat so I can't comment on that, but the bar experience and the ambiance were fantastic. I had to add some pictures because I didn't think the existing pics really did justice to how beautiful this place is.

3.5 stars. Rounding it up to 4, since I think the 2.5 star overall rating is a little harsh. I'll have to admit, my only experience here was late at night for drinks only, so I can't speak for the food, but I thought the decor and ambiance were great. Service and drink selection weren't lacking, either. The Three Sisters was conveniently located right next to our hotel in Rembrandtplein, a famous district known for its nightlife. This bar is definitely on the quieter, mellower side in comparison to others nearby. No loud music or club vibes, just a calm and more sophisticated feel. The space itself is quite large, with abundant seating. The furniture was actually very comfortable and spacious. The drink menu has a lot of great options. I enjoyed a beer first, then made my way to the bar to try some local spirits. The drinks I tried were OK, nothing to rave about, but they definitely did the trick. Shortly after, this bar closed, so we continued the festivities elsewhere.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say the best place for a English Pub is England. It is only like 100 miles to England. Embrace the Dutch culture when you are in the Netherlands. It is not here. Don't go looking for a English Breakfast in Holland. Get a Dutch one. Branch out. This is kind of gratuitous tourist place you find in tourist Destination. Ok. Rant over. Make your own life choices There is outdoor seating here facing a plaza. Nice enough Although the plaza is a haven for similar touristy spots. Service outside was kinda spotty. Hard to get attention and it was not that busy Food choices Wings, fries etc were on the menu.

Croquettes! My favorite appetizer in The Netherlands.

Apparently pub food is rather popular in Amsterdam. My wife and I were wandering somewhat aimlessly looking for a place to eat a late lunch, and it seemed that Steakhouses, Grills, and Pubs were all that were available on every block. I forget what our exact criteria for settling on Three Sisters was, but for whatever reason, this was the place we decided to sit down at. Lots of outdoor seating which was perfect for people watching on a lovely spring afternoon. We ordered beers, my wife got a burger, and I gave the Mixed Grill a shot. We also had an appetizer of croquettes, which might be my favorite Dutch food item ever. If you've never had fried mashed potato balls before, you MUST try them! Our food was all pretty good! I was pleasantly surprised that my Mixed Grill included a half rack of ribs, but the highlight was probably the ground beef patty. They season their beef quite nicely, and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Overall we had no complaints - the food was good, and the service was pleasant if not terribly urgent, but that's pretty par for course in this part of the globe.

Nice little pub connected to NH Caranza. Perfect place for sipping cocktails and other libations while you enjoy the view of Rembrandtplein. We arrived here in the afternoon when the weather was nice and cool. The whole pavements were full with tables and chairs, so a few locals and tourists were sitting outside. Definitely a great place to people watch.

Hmmm so I was extremely excited about this place... until our waiter said hi. Let me start with saying how cool the inside of this place is. You feel like your in a master Library with leather chairs and a spectacular polish feeling. It had such a decent feel that my co workers and I actually came back through because we thought it looked appealing. Should have turned around. The serving staff was less than indulged. They acted like it was a chore to serve us. When we finally got there attention and ordered drinks, two people had the table had to change their order since they bar didn't carry their very common whiskey.... The food tipped it off... fish and chips was under done and the cheese fries were cold and damp. If it wasn't for golf being on... this would get two stars. - Forever Foodie- Ela

Rembrandsplein, a hotbed of Amsterdam eating and carousing, is home to many restaurants. We chose The Three Sisters for three reasons: it was still serving at a later hour, we love Irish pub atmosphere, even in Amsterdam and, though not cheap, it wasn't going to require a second mortgage the way some of its neighbors would. Oh, and free wi-fi. Finding a table wasn't so easy, not because they were all filled. But Goldilocks, i.e., moi, found some too cold, some too hot, and some too high for little me. And they had no booster seats. Finally settled in, we were attended to by a very friendly server who looked Irish, sounded American, but was a native. My Plus 1 chose cottage pie for his dinner. He loved it. I was put off by what looked like a slice of processed American cheese across the top. American cheese in this land of Edam and Gouda?? (That's pronounced HOW-dah, with a guttural HOW, if you care). It may not have been, but it sure looked suspicious. But he's not as exacting as I. My burger was listed under the heading Hoofdgerechten, so I had to have our waitress assure me that it was NOT going to be horse meat. No, it means "Main Courses." Whew! It was a bit overcooked - I like it medium - but tasty anyway. A burger and fries isn't exactly eating like the locals, but I think the locals like to eat the way we do, (with some deep-fried croquettes thrown in along the way for interest.) It's an attractive place, all dark wood and stained glass ceilings, with booths, tables, and pub tables, so as long as you're not as particular as I am, you should have no trouble settling in and having a good meal.

It's seat yourself and thankfully that was apparent. The service is quick, the waitress is lovely, the beer is cold and the food is great. Had a Heineken (have to in Amsterdam) and the rumpsteak was delicious, could use some salt though. Only see one waitress going around and she's all around the restaurant, nobody is waiting for long. Very nice atmosphere.

Great Heineken beer and a view of Rembrandtplein

We have heard of Donnies, but have never been so thought this was a good opportunity to try it out. Food: Since we were looking for a light lunch we decided to share the large size of the Kapsalon Kip. The Kapsalon Kip has responsibly raised chicken, hot sauce, garlic sauce, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, jalapeños, cheese and wait for it...french fries! It's definitely big enough for two people and SO DELICIOUS! We kept saying "OMG, this is so good". Drinks: We ordered two ice teas and one beer. If you're a beer lover they have craft beers on their menu. Price: €19.35 Service: Service started out pretty slow when we arrived. No one came to us for 10 minutes and I went outside myself to get the menus off the tables there to see what to order. But once they realised we were there and took our order the service picked up. The waitress in the end was nice and friendly. Ambiance: It was pretty quiet on the Saturday afternoon we were there. The space is very nice and well done. Definitely the nicest doner kabab house I've ever been to. Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY! I'm looking forward to trying other things on their menu.
