Acting as a focal point at the start of the Washington Street Bridge, the Tent rises 43' into the air with nearly 500 movable panels. The piece was created by artist Donald Lipski in 2008 and is considered kinetic art because the stainless steel panels move in the wind.
On the outside, each of the panels is painted in one of 23 colors. On the inside of the two walls of panels, each panel is left unpainted and stays highly reflective.
