I have been using Sebastian's "Service" for over 2 years and he is not someone I would recommend…read more Basically he suggested to me a very expensive corporate structure for tax savings, great. My business didn't grow as quickly as I initially thought and after doing the math, I realized my accounting fees far out weighed any tax savings I got for S Corp election. I confront Sebastian about this, he disagrees, I explain the math to him, and he agrees. I paid this guy over $1000 for his "special tax advising program" and here I am telling him what I should do. I then get a letter from the irs saying there was an issue in my s corp election. He charges me $750 to do it. He gives me a single document with a form letter explaining everything. I send paper return then the next month there's another mistake. He wants to charge me yet another $750 so he can "call the irs". He is not a cpa, he is not a licensed tax attorney, he is just a middle man who charges top dollar. I wouldn't call him dishonest but I also wouldn't call him honest. Best to stay away. I am paying 1/10 of what i paid to Sebastian for the exact same service.

After our tax return had already been completed and filed, we were informed that we had to pay an additional $1,495 for a separate business-related invoice before he would release copies of our completed tax return. We felt we had no choice but to pay in order to receive our own tax documents. What was most concerning was that this $1,495 fee was never disclosed to us upfront. Our business had no income and very little activity, so the charge came as a complete surprise. When we questioned the fee, we were referred back to the engagement letter but were not provided with a detailed explanation or itemized breakdown of the work that justified the charge. After expressing our concerns and requesting a refund, Sebastian declined and instead offered a $150 credit toward future tax services. Since we no longer intend to do business with his firm, this was not a meaningful resolution. Our biggest disappointment wasn't just the amount charged--it was the lack of transparency regarding the fee, the decision to withhold our tax documents until an unrelated invoice was paid, and the unwillingness to fairly resolve the matter afterward. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Sebastian or TaxCareGroup. We encourage anyone considering using this firm to request all fees in writing before any work begins, ask for clear pricing, and carefully review the engagement agreement to avoid unexpected charges.
