I initially tried to buy a nice repo but was told it wasn't available yet. When I looked at it, the unit was full of previous owners junk that obviously was too big a burden to be emptied for a cash sale. I figured out later why he wasn't interested in selling me that one. I looked around a bit but kept getting directed back to "a smokin deal" that would include a ramp that the "home office didn't need to know about". Told me he would bring it over after unit was delivered? Hmmmmm...that made me a little uneasy about his integrity. I purchased the unit and had it delivered nonetheless. I was told they deliver and setup as part of the deal. Perfect I thought. Unit was delivered and set on property, they put a small level on the floor, threw a few scrap blocks of wood under it here and there and say "what ya think"? I have no idea I don't have my readers with me and could not see the level readings. Im assuming they know what theyre doing as they do it everyday so I say it looks good to me if it looks good to you. The next day my neighbor and a contractor Im having some work done by are looking at it and laughing as I walk out to greet them. Whats so funny I ask jokingly? They both said "your shed is leaning buddy". I take a look at what they're talking about, sure enough its way forward leaning. My contractor puts his 4' level on the outside corners of the building to see how far off the building is. 1/4 bubble off! Wow! No problem right? The salesmen (Tom Lennon) who sold it to me assured me "no worries, if you have any problems I will make it right". So I give Tom a call and right away he has a negative attitude about it. Asked me if I put a level on it? Ummmm, that was your job I responded. You were responsible for delivery and setup. He told well he couldn't come today but could in a couple days as he wasn't gonna pay his delivery guy to come back out. The day he says hes coming he was not here at time specified. Instead I get a text that says be there within an hour. I respond I have alot to do and he responds I will get there when I can. It amazes me how prompt he was before the sale and the getting paid part. But now Im just "whenever I get there".. He shows up in the last 5 minutes of the "within the hour" with a bad attitude marching thru my property with his level asking me again if I put a level on it in a condescending tone. I then told him to leave as he was not going to talk to me that way. He got even more condescending as he got further from me on his way off my property, making the remark Im wasting his time! Had the nerve to tell me he'll fix it yet he didn't put his level on it to see its not right and continues to act as if I don't know what Im talking about. Why offer to fix it then? Come to find out, he personally bought the building used from someone and put it on the business lot. It wasn't a repo afterall. Having me write the check in his name should have been my 1st clue. Well I got the free ramp that the business "didn't need to know about" and his "when I can get there" schedule as well as a bad attitude all AFTER I paid for it. My contractor had it level in 2 minutes. 2 minutes was all it took to make it right. I will never again "waste" Tom's time.

We did the scavenger hunt, completed puzzles inside the maze, and eventually wound our way through! It was a very hot day for the season, so the apple cider slushes and hayride around the farm were good rewards. They also served Native Bread cookies in the shop, so I had a pumpkin chocolate chip one. A very pleasing option for a gluten free and dairy free person like me! I bought cider to take home and it was fantastic and priced well. It cost $10 each to get back into the activity area, which was reasonable, but could get pricey if you're bringing a big family. So check rates ahead of time and save up! But we had a great visit and I'd go back for another fall adventure.

I attended the Sunflower Festival this weekend with my husband, sister and niece. There's really something for everyone. They have a gift shop as well as a neat and novelty grocery dept. There was a kids entrepreneurial endeavor as well where we bought some trinkets and sunflower pillowcases made by the kids who were selling them directly. Great concept! Whether you'd like to snack on delicious, fresh cider donuts while sipping on apple cider slush or have a smash burger & watch your wood fired pizza being made for lunch, the food and drinks are guaranteed to keep you in good spirits. The festival admission includes two fresh cuttings of any sunflowers of your choosing as well as three zinnia cuts. They hand you a pair of clippers and you then get to venture out into the "Fields of Gold"-- to quote Sting. It's overwhelmingly beautiful. The admission also includes tractor & train rides around the farm, access to the big slides (child sizes too) playgrounds and the opportunity to go apple picking for an additional fee. Prices are all pretty reasonable for an event like this one and parking is free. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They have activities for kids to keep them busy and entertained. 10/10 will be returning again next year.
