I still do to the Sundowner sometimes and noticed that some tactics of the dancers and bartenders have changed, it's something for your patrons to watch out for so I will tell you what I know: 1) Some girls still walk around in pairs, BUT the new tactic is for a girl to start to like a regular encounter, and around 15min in they say "Hey, do you mind if my girlfriend joins us". It has happened to me 3 times so far and I noticed the "friend" is always watching close by (in my experience at the main bar and or at a round table close) Then they want you to do everything in doubles, including drinks, dances, etc. I noticed they have someone to agree with the miscount of songs or stories one may tell no, so watch out. 2) Any "extra" service on premises is no longer a thing. Around St. Patrick's Day of 2023, I found out management had a "talk" with the dancers and said if they found out dancers were offering any services (FS, HD, BJ, or anything) on their property they would get fired. They busted a customer and a dancer in FS, the customer was banned and the dancer was fired on the spot, also a herd of one dancer getting busted for having the customer expose himself, the customer was ejected, dancer kept her job. Now they push services to happen at the local hotels and are WAY more. One girl offered me FS with her partner, but for $500 EACH... big ripoff, if get down like that you can go to a local spa not far and get a BJ and FS for $160 Canadian... I heard :-) 3) When the ATMs are down or if you have a larger bill for dances the girls will push you to get a cash advance at the bar. Not entirely bad but the catch is the bar charges a 10% fee. My "bill" was a few hundred for dances (got scammed by a miscount but didn't freak out, I just got a big pay bonus), and they charged me the 10%. Again, not bad, and the bartender does tell you about the fee and will ask you to confirm the amount, but I call this out because if you get getting anything under$160 the ATM is cheaper normally. My ATM gives me back service fees, but not on a cash advance, so I was out the 10%. 4) You might not have noticed, but the main big bar drinks go up after 7:00 or so (at least on the weekends they do). A Corona goes up from $6.50 to about $10, and shots go up also (BTW the machine for shots pours very light, definitely not 1oz). The way around this is before 7:00 order 2-3 bears and keep them at your table, if you are getting shots get them at the sidebars next to the private dance room, they are cheaper and get poured heavy. The Sundowner I have been to many times and know well some of the dancers. Most are nice and some are hot and sexy and will sit and talk with you and ask you to buy them a drink. Then they will ask you to either dance at your table, take you for a VIP dance or dances or take them downstairs for a 1/2 hour or 1 hour very private dances .The rates are $25 a song either at the table or a VIP dance. Downstairs in what they call the Flamingo room it is $350 for 1/2 hour and $650 for a full hour. So getting dances is very pricey especially seeing a song average is only 3 minutes long. So if you want to get dances make sure you bring lots of money with you. Also drinks and shots are very pricey too. $10 a shot or drink. So again make sure you bring lots of money with you!! What you do have to be watchful of is some of the dancers(strippers) will try to scam you by saying that they did more songs then what they really did and charge you much more, so you tell them before hand you only want to do a certain number of songs because that is your budget for dances. But by far this is the best strip club in Niagara Falls, Canada or Western New York with the hottest and sexiest strippers and it is totally nude. read more

Came in here last week with my 2 buddies from college. We arrived before the $20 cover at 8 on a Friday. Came to play some pool hang out have some food and drinks and ended up in a terrible situation. Here's what happened. I bought some steak and potatos from their late night menu and struggled to find a seat, 2 girls approached me who had seemed to have just gotten out of an argument with a customer for not paying for a dance, the 2 girls talked with me and then one started picking through my food with her fingers... (This is during a corona virus outbreak WTF?!) I moved to a table to drink with my friends and we were immediately approached by girls who were very pushy to get us to the back with them (we sat for maybe 5 minutes and talked) me and my friend were both coerced to go back with them after I said I only wanted on dance, I've even been here before so I know they try and charge you overpriced dances, sure enough I waited and listened for one song and said that was enough and the girl kept pushing, I went for one more song and she told me I owed her $160 or she would call the bouncer, I paid and went and sat back down, my friend came out later with his girl maybe 5-6 minutes and he was charged $500, I don't trust the dj here. Next we were approached by a small Asian girl offering a dance, I told her my other friend liked Asian women and I said I would give her 20 for a short table dance, she danced well for 2 songs and then asked for 80. I settled on 60 with her which wasn't terrible with what some of the other girls here try to get away with, she also also seemed quite nice even in the circumstances. Lastly, this was honestly the worst part and what will make me never want to come back to the "Dwnr" again after many times of coming here. 2 tall brunnete women walked up on to our table and started getting real close with all 3 of us, they were just shaking their ass around for maybe 2 seconds before I asked "Is this going to cost us anything?" To which she said yes 20$ and started demanding money from the group of us, I never asked for a dance and my other friend also was just minding his own business drinking ( literally watching the whole scene go down) and they demanded money from him, I said I had no money left since I spent $250 that night and my intention was to spend 60 and just hang out before it got past 12, my friend who just spent 500 on a dance and was very frustrated already had 20 in his hand and they snatched it out while he was just talking with them about why they thought they deserved it for the 2 second of just walking up onto our table and shaking their ass, literal robbery, the 2 girls rushed to the back with the money and we informed a bouncer, he sat there and waited but we didn't see them for over an hour on the floor so we just picked up and left. Terrible night, do not go here they will steal your money from your hands, everything is way overpriced from drinks to shots (the food is somehow affordable and good though?), and they will try and force you into bad situations, as well as lie about songs, there is no system of accountability here if anything happens to you good luck it will always go to a basis of he said she said. I was in Buffalo, NY on a business trip and crossed the border into Niagara Falls, Canada after finishing up dinner and drinks with my customer reps on the US side. At first I was just going to go to the casino but then found this place on Yelp and thought I would have a quick look. It was a Thursday night and I got there around 11PM. I went in and the place was full but not overly crowded. Plenty of good looking girls and diversity. Canada definitely has the right idea with full nudity and alcohol. The Sundowner isn't your average strip joint, or so I was told by the person I went with. Going with someone who had significant experience with strip joints in Ontario, this was the one and the only place to go and as such, we decided to go after a day of sightseeing in Niagara. First of all, the Downer is a little off the beaten track - it requires driving or being driven which means getting a cab afterwards unless you miraculously manage to get someone in without them drinking. I'm not sure how well it goes here, we just watched our intake and didn't stick around for too long. As a girl going to a strip joint, i will say this: I have never been stared at more in my ENTIRE life and I was the only woman NOT scantily clad in the joint. Men don't seem to be used to women in strip joints, so if you're a girl and you walk in, be prepared to be leered at a bit and have people stare at you until you sit down and start watching the dancers. I was lucky enough to originally get a seat in what's aptly named, "perv's row", right up against the stage and I scoped the place out. It's what you would expect for a strip joint with a few extras. First of all, the girls are all gorgeous. We came on a Sunday night and it was crawling with ladies, none of them hard to look at. This is something that the Downer is known for. I'm told that they have ladies coming in to dance from all over the world and that its rare that the same set of girls are there from week to week (besides the regulars). Second, on the far side of pervs row, there are circular tables that are used for, lets say, activities that one would not tend to find in another strip joint and are illegal in some places in the states (and possibly Canada as well). I got to witness said activities and let me tell you, they did not disappoint ;) I didn't pay for drinks so I don't remember the price but I do remember being warned about the ATM fees (which Kris has already gone over) so I made sure to bring cash. Of course, as a woman, the main thing that stood out was the cleanliness. This is not a dirty place and after every girl dances, another girl comes out and cleans the pole down - every. single. time. We got moved when a bachelor party came in (and again, more staring at me, go figure) and when we moved back from the stage, we seemed to be surrounded by ladies, which was quite nice. I'm sure if we'd stayed longer, I would have been asked if I wanted a dance. None of them seemed intimidating or ... for lack of a better word, icky. This all being said exploring The Sundowner (or 'the Downer') recently was an eye opening experience.... to say the least. Literally. I saw things that that I've never seen before in a strip club. I'll leave it at that (what happens at the peelers stays at the peelers ... and goes on Yelp LOL) Feats of strength, a guy being robbed blind, public beatings .... and I'm only talking about what its like to order a drink at the bar. This entire place is CASH ONLY....and what a smart business model these scammers have come up with (ooooo you sly flesh dealers.... I'm on to your trickery). There is a $10 service fee charge on the ATM for all withdrawals under $100 and if you are feeling particularly randy, the downer is happy to screw you (financially that is) to the tune of a 10% charge for every withdrawal over $100. For those not with "the math" allow me to explain. If you take $100 out of your account at their ATM $110 will magically be removed. That being said, if you are a sucker and want to lose ALL you money, taking $120 out will come with a 10% service fee (meaning it will cost you $12, leaving you $132 shorter).... on a grander scale say you are super lonely and decide "heck its Tuesday afternoon - lets take out $1000". Well friend that 10% charge means $1100 is taken from you account - see where this is going. Yes that's right - the poor house. Amateurs tip - go to the bank before hand if you truly want to spend your hard earned money this way. I walked in with $40 to cover my entrance fee and buy a drink. Sorry candy I will not be going to the "erection section" as she so eloquently put it - Who would have thought these girls were the poets of our generation!! All that being said, for my annual trip to the rip, this place was swell, 2 stages, a basement entertainment area AND another affiliated strip club right next door. JOY.. RAPTURE!! This place has all of the cons you'd expect from a strip joint: extremely expensive drinks, cover charge, etc. HOWEVER, the pros (not those sort) are really something. VERY beautiful girls who strip down to absolutely nothing and show it all on stage, the same girls walking around flirting (ya know, like a prostitute flirts), and hot lap dances but there is almost no shot at getting anything extra in the Champagne Room. For that though, the place nextdoor, Sensations. I've had several great encounters with some hot pieces there. My wife and I attended the club last evening. I was Very Disappointed. I had gone to this place when I was 19 years old, that was 25 years ago. The place is the same. They may have had one renovation to create the rooms in the back, but the place is falling apart. It cannot be for the lack of money, as they charge my wife and I, $30 bucks to enter and then 15 dollars for a half bottle of wine which I can purchase at the liquor store for 5 bucks. I've been to the Sundowner several times over the past 2 years. Compared to the Buffalo clubs this is hands down the best place to go, especially with the current exchange rate. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: Really nice looking dancers. Most are 5-7 with a few 8's. They aren't pushy for dances and most can carry on a conversation reasonably well. Right now the "Girls of Summer" are there (Eastern European, Russian, Czech etc) but once the weather turns cool most will disappear. From what I've learned from them they go to Miami, Vegas and LA for the winter. Cons: The place is really small for the amt of customers they get plus it really needs to be remodeled. It looks very dated and dingy. The DJ's choice of music can be repetitive and irritating to listen to (at least to me.) The current DJ is better than the one they had who only played techno music but I still am not crazy about the music selection. Some of the dancers will try to cheat you on the number of songs they dance for you. I always make sure to count the songs but there have been several dancers who claimed they danced more than they did. Overall it's a nice place to spend a Fri or Sat night. read more

I normally go to the Downer every 4-6 weeks during the Spring-Fall seasons. With the exchange rate right now it is a great value for those who enjoy this type of entertainment. Having said that last night was definitely not one of my better experiences. When I got to the club security wouldn't let me in claiming the club was full while 2 guys who had Seductions wrist bands were allowed to walk right in. I had to go to Seductions to pay the cover charge and wait 45 min before being allowed to enter the Downer with my Seductions wrist band. And when I was inside the club was NOT even close to being at max capacity. It appears that the owner of the Downer who also owns Seductions is forcing people to go to Seductions first before being allowed into the Downer. If this is really true it is total BS. In my experience the girls who work in Seductions are less attractive than the ones in the Downer. I think this is done on purpose even though all dancers are supposed to rotate through both clubs in shifts. If this continues I will have to arrive earlier than I usually do to make sure I can get into the Downer without having to go to Seductions first. read more

It was my friend's birthday. We bought a table and two bottles. At least three dancers came by our table and volunteered to dance for us. A fourth came around and asked if we wanted a dance, I simply replied that "it was my friend's birthday". She danced, like the other three. I gave her $20 for her troubles. She tried to scam us for $100, not only claiming that she did five dances (she did not), but threatening to get the bouncer to give her what she stated she was owed. Unfortunately, she danced for one dance. And not only did we not agree to pay for that one dance, but we certainly did not get any more than one dance. Regardless, the dishonest woman started yelling and claiming that she was owed $100 for five dances (she did one), and threatened to get her manager/bouncer. The bouncer arrived, and was immediately aggressive with me. The first thing he said was "why would she lie about this"? Obviously, the dancers have a good reason to Fabricate how much they have earned, and there is no check on the customer. The dancers can easily abuse their power, but only if the institution allows it. This is an instituTion that does exactly this. This place is an absolute scam, and they have figure out ways to scam their customers and get away with it. If you argue with a bouncer, they use physical violence against you. A Put it this way: if you go to this place, and you get a dance, get ready for the dancer to make it seem like you received twice the dances to scam you out of extra money. The bouncers will come over and say "why would they lie"? You have no recourse but to pay them. It's a scam and the people who work there are con artists. Prepare to get ripped off. Total scam going on here. Right after arriving two girls came to my table. I told them i was just going to relax and look around a while. They grabbed my arms and started pulling me toward the back room saying "lets go back there, it'll be fun". When I asked how much private dances cost, they said not to worry about it, we'd just have fun. After about 10 minutes of very uncomfortable pressure and requests to stay there with them, I left the room. Then they told me I owed them 500 dollars!! When I explained to a guy working there I'd been tricked into the "private dance" he said I had to pay. I went back with them so I was on the hook to pay. 15 minutes in the club, 10 minutes of asking to be left alone and I'm forced to give them 500 bucks. This place should be shut down. read more

This place is a dump inside and smells like homeless people and vomit. The drinks as with all strip clubs are way over priced and the girls that work here are by far the ugliest girls on the planet. I went in to check out what the big deal was about strip clubs. It was sad. Very dirty, rundown and depressing. It was during the day so it was very empty. One drugged out chick on stage. She was talented with her flips but she was miserable. Men at perverts row were rude to her. Girls were pushy with overpriced drinks. The bouncer did admit the girls have sex in the private room. He offered to show me the private area but i refused. I was disgusted and turned off from strip clubs for life. Plus the girls have to pass by the sunlit entrance to use the washroom. Best strip club ever!! I went here years ago while in business and it was the best strip club I've ever been to compared to all that I've been to in the U.S... No other strip club I've been to after has compared to this spot. Hottest girls, more bang for your buck, and was not disappointed.
