I have being…read moretraining there for around 4 years now and I have improved many different aspects of my life through this wonderful [martial] art. Through training at warriors I have gained the confedence and courage to take on challenging new goals to achive. The Kru's have taught me to live life a more positive way, and it really does make changes. One of the benifits was my body, I can certainly say that I am in the best shape I have ever been in my life! But one thing I have to say is this doesnt come easy or fast. I realize you have to be patient with Muay thai. You cannot learn it in a week or month or even a year. It takes as long as you want to practice to learn. Meaning, there is always something new you can improve on or be taught, so it never gets boring. So whatever the reason; to get in shape, to find disipline and hard work, to feel more positive, or to just learn how to fight...A.W.T.C is definatly to place to get it.

First the lodge - amazing location (on a hill, overlooking the forest and the strait - stunning views in the morning), 4-star lodge/accomodation (comfortable beds, great lounge with fireplace, and a great dining area) Then the staff - professional, friendly, knowledgeable --food : we were followig a raw food diet, and the hostess/chef cooked some unique tasting dishes --yoga/hiking: great teacher - dynamic, friendly, efficient -- therapist: she was both knowledgeable (healthy diets, therapeutic massages...) and friendly -host: she was very detail oriented, efficient, and went the extra mile to accomodate the guests requests. Last the food and activties: all great This kind of retreat is perfect for busy, stressed out, professionals... If I weren't living on the other side of the planet, I would probably schedule a retreat every 3 months.

The staff were super friendly - green fees were under $20 for 9 holes, and the driving range was an added bonus (only $3 for a bucket!) I'll be heading back the next sunny day - with kids to hit a few buckets. Manager told me he is hoping to have a kids golf "Academy" soon. Limited supply of rental clubs, so bring your own if you have them. There is a nice patio, and BBQ facilities available, but no kitchen yet (just soft drinks, chips etc...) Manager said there will be beer and wine available soon. Really close to Saratoga Beach and the wonderful Oyster River trails. There were only a few golfers out, even though it was a really nice afternoon. Possibly no one knows this course has opened up - so enjoy having a "private" course while you can - once word gets out I'm sure it will get a lot busier.
