This is going to be the foundational building for the new school which is being built beside this building. First Baptist has always had a good reputation in the area and moving most of its students off the peninsula must have been hard, but there isn't any parking downtown! Ahhhh! I was able to attend a play put on by the students in a side area which has a nice big stage and recording equipment. Well done kids! Very professional, would attend others here. Of course no review would be finished unless I mention the restrooms, yep they were super clean and nice smelling even after being used by teenagers! We had 2 throwing classes, 2 carving classes, and 2 glazing classes. Renee was so helpful the entire way! There are many pots around the studio that were great inspiration. The staff on hand was noticeably engaged in a project, but took time to answer questions and show us around in a very friendly manner. I definitely plan to go back throughout the year to see how their collection changes. The physical layout doesn't allow for a lot of extra room, so I wouldn't encourage taking kids in. But if they are a bit older and not too out of control, I think there is plenty that kids would enjoy.
