Ok, so previously I've described the roast beef here as the best in Bristol.
So, this was high on my agenda for a return visit, unfortunately as with all places you can get an off day - and whilst it was still good, it wasn't amazing - the beef although cooked to perfection was extremely fatty, and the horseradish cream, was more cream than the lovely punch you usually get, along with a rather greasy yorkshire pud - the veg was tasty, but this was no where near the same quality as what I had previously experienced. Now, if the price was around tenner this would be ok, but at over £13 - I expect better.
On the plus point, the waiter asked for feedback, and offered to pass this on to the chef, so maybe, just maybe I'll test it for a third time, and see if they manage to bring back the original quality. read more
