Not bad at all. The pub is under new management since about a month ago and is now run by Rick and Tony, one of whom is a fierce looking bald man with tattoos, who serves everyone very efficiently with a choice of roast Sunday lunch - with nut roast and a couple of fish choices. I enjoyed my scampi, while the rest of our group had roast beef. Two of my friends cleaned their plates, while the other was put off by all the food arriving on one plate rather than being able to serve oneself from a separate plate of vegetables. The vegetables were a little on the luke-warm side, but there were large helpings of 4 or 5 different veg. Under £30 for 4 mains and 4 coffees, so pretty reasonable all round and a pleasant, quiet atmosphere. read more
