When I put my back out so badly I couldn't walk (dancing in high heels, so totally my fault) I went…read moreto the Medibank site and found a Members Choice Chiropractor near me. The search engine spat out 'The Ashgrove Spinal Centre' and I'm so glad it did! This is a family run practice, and it's not uncommon to see Dr Robert Bailey's lovely wife Renee behind the desk with one of their daughters filling in for their receptionist. When I first went there, I discussed my history of spinal problems, and Rob sent me off to have extensive spinal X-rays. I've never had a Chiropractor request this before, and it was really interesting to see exactly what was going wrong with my spine. This helped him set a treatment plan that actually worked as it eliminated all the guess work. Another thing I really like about this clinic is that Rob is a very conservative Chiro. He doesn't advocate any extreme treatments, and is always careful to ensure there's adequate time between appointments so the spine doesn't get over manipulated. He takes a real interest in his patients and it often feels like I've dropped in for a chat as opposed to visited a medical professional. He has recently invested in an ultrasound machine, which he tells me will help patients identify the muscles they need to be using to help fix their spinal alignment. After all my confusion during Pilates classes (just where the hell is my core muscle and how do I tense it??) I am looking forward to trying that one out. If you want a really good Chiropractor who takes a genuine interest in fixing your spine and isn't out to fleece you, go to The Ashgrove Spinal Centre.

I have always been a skeptic of all things chiropractic, however I was at a Discover Paleo evening…read morerecently and there was a presentation by Megan a Chiropractor at Windsor Chiropractic. I became a little bit curious so I made an appointment for the following week. I arrived early as directed to fill out paperwork. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming and happy to assist with any questions that we had. I was then taken through and we had a chat about my lifestyle, medical history and current problems. A very detailed assessment was then carried out, and the chiropractor picked up on a couple of things that could not have been guessed that were happening with my heal. That made me even more curious about what this service could offer for me. At the same appointment i had some laser to help with a couple of extremely tight muscles that had inflammation. And then some adjustments. Whilst not lovely, the adjustments weren't horrific like I had been expecting. I came back a few days later for my report of findings. The chiropractor took time to go through it all in detail with me and allowed time for any questions that i may have. A recommended course of treatment was then explained but no obligation put on you as the patient to commit to things if they were too expensive. A plan that is both affordable and time manageable for you is worked out. The whole team come across as caring, passionate about what they do and empathetic to their patients conditions. The practice has HICAPS so private insurance claims can be made there and then. There are 2 chiropractors at this practice and they operate between Windsor and Stafford so you can pick which location is easiest for you. There are no private parking spaces, however there are a lot of spaces available in neighbouring streets ranging from 1-2 hours free parking.

Alan and his team are beyond professional. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with smiles…read moreand a comprehensive consultation. Alan has been integral in ensuring my health is optimal and it is clear that he has a real passion for what he does. I have been trusting Windsor Chiropractic with my care as an adult with a long-term shoulder issue (now resolved), pre-natal & post-natal care and also with my son's care since he was 1 day old. Alan is incredibly caring and always positive and upbeat which is why he is such an amazing chiropractor and healthcare professional.
