Truly one of my favourite places to eat in PA. The owner and servers are always friendly, kind, courteous, polite, and hilarious. Every time my partner and I plan a date night, spice trail is always on the menu. The food always leaves me full, and satisfied (which is hard to do with how picky I am lol). I've been going to the spice trail since it opened and used to really enjoy their buffet! After a few years of buffet we decided to stray and order off of the menu. We found some amazingly delicious and flavourful dishes over the past five or six years and continue to support this small locally owned East Indian restaurant! This is a hidden gem of the North. If you're heading to Prince Albert or passing through to go to Waskesiu, this is an absolute must. The best Pakoras I have ever had, everything is made from scratch, even the powdered spices have been roasted in house. We had pakoras, chicken tikka masala, Chana masala, rice, garlic naan, and raita. The service is spectacular and if fine dining quality. They are kind, welcoming, friendly and so happy to make you smile. The dishes came out quick, and hot. The food was so fragrant, Garlic Naan is fantastic and is everything you would expect of a perfect Indian meal. I've been to a lot of Indian restaurants in Saskatchewan and this one is the very best!! We sat in a beautifully decorated booth, and it felt very intimate and private. They also do take out and sell their marinated chicken tikka to take home and BBQ. read more

A very nicely decorated place. Ordered a lamb roll, Chili chicken and orka. I asked for it spicy and it was. Food seemed to be lacking in some flavour. I imagine it's because they want to appeal to everyone in this small town. I would go back atleast once. Delicious buffet of authentic East Indian food that is all hand prepared. From the freshly made nan bread to the classic butter chicken and ever changing other buffet items, you cannot go wrong here. The chef and his family are masterful in their preparation of the dishes providing enough spice for flavour, but not enough to overwhelm the palette. For those that like to add more heat and spice, you can find chili sauce and coriander chutney and peach chutney at the end of the buffet tables. I love dishes with sauces and they do not disappoint, so be sure to take extra rice or naan to sop it up. If I had to offer anything up, I might suggest using a slow cooking process for the beef so as to make for a more tender beef. The desserts also change, and are surprisingly sweet with lovely hints of perhaps rose water. Have been twice so far and will definitely return. read more

This is the best Indian food I have ever eaten. I always go for the buffet because I cam never decide what to order and this way you can have a little bit of everything and it is awesome. My favourite is the homemade naan bread and butter chicken. One time they took me to the back and showed me how they made the naan.
