Let's just start off that this is a very clean place very downtown and easily accessible to everywhere in downtown Boise. I arrived on a Monday and met Medina. She was absolutely amazing as the host and she was able to register me in and give me amazing food options and recommendations for the great restaurants of Boise. Throughout my whole entire day, Medina was able to ask me how I like the places that you recommended and we were able to communicate very well about how well that Fairall was doing for my stay. In the evening, I met Veronica, who was a host for the entire night. As I get back to my late conferences, she was the first person to greet me and pretty much the first person I would see when I was leaving first thing in the morning as well. Veronica is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend to the sparrow that they got a winner right there. The other late night host was in who was a college student, and he was very gracious and always accepted me with a smile and very easy to talk to you as well. The other daytime host was Jody who was I think the mom pretty much she was easy to talk to as well. My overall day was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this place. If I could give it a score it would be 10 out of 10. The only thing I have today would be the walls are a little bit thin so you can hear people having conversations on the outside of the building. There was a big group of cheerleaders and that it's something I just can't control but was totally OK with it. The coffee shop below didn't really disrupt my sleeping even though you can smell fresh coffee in the morning. If I'm ever back in Boise, I would definitely check out this place and I highly recommend it again. Thanks for reading this far.

    2nd floor room. Cool vibe.

Very cool hotel with an energetic and welcoming staff across the board. Entire team friendly, professional, and helpful from check in to departure. Truly made us feel welcomed and valued. Bed, extremely comfortable, good Wi-Fi and location could not be better. Nice coffee shop in the lobby, everything is new and fresh, don't miss taking the stairs at least once to review the local geographic trivia. Finally, outside area is quiet and accommodating. When the weather is good, nice place to relax in an Adirondack with a beverage and just chill. The best dinner venues in downtown are just a 5-minute walk away. Solid hotel choice, definitely recommend. Finally, thanks again Sara, Ayla and the entire Sparrow team!

Based on reviews I chose the Sparrow for my trip to Boise. It's in the most excellent location. A lot of places to eat and drink all just steps away. If you are staying local a car isn't necessary. The airport is merely 15 mins away and about the same in fare. The room is clean, there is a hairdryer and a mini fridge. The shampoo and conditioner is next level not shit in a bottle so no need to pack your own. It isn't as fancy as the Renegade but the difference is in the dollar. Only funky thing is the lights do not turn on unless you leave your key in. At first I thought it was slightly annoying but upon further reflection I think it's a great set up. Electricity is expensive in $$ and environmental toll. I support this measure. I was always guilty of leaving a light on when I left my room. Pretty wasteful truth be told. I'd recommend.

Perfect hotel for visiting downtown Boise. Clean, dog friendly (dog bowl, potty bags, dog blanket), tastefully decorated, chocolates... priced the same as nearby chain hotels.

The room was way more swanky than anything we ever stay in, but even my husband commented on how nice it was, and he isn't usually impressed with hotels. You could sleep in the shower with how much space there was. The ambiance definitely matched all the things I had heard about it - very industrial meets modern in a thoughtful way. And don't sleep on Blue Collar Coffee or the rooftop bar, if even for just the view of the foothills. You can't beat the location either - it's walkable to everything but just outside the true heart of downtown where it gets busier. Recommend for a staycation night (what we did) or a splurge-y stay with friends!

Amazing service by a staff that are truly ambassadors for the brand and create an incredible atmosphere. The hotel is very clean and very inviting from the lobby to the rooms. Our room layout was wonderful and the room was loaded with amenities. It was quiet and easy to navigate. Location is central to downtown so it's really easy to walk to the nightlife after dinner. Rooftop was amazing and what a view. We also made reservations at the Supper Club and it too was incredible. Service was impeccable while not being overbearing. The food was amazing and very fairly priced. Cannot wait to go back and eat more off the menu. Overall, I cannot believe there is a better hotel to stay at in Boise. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a "staycation" at the Renegade.

To top it off, the lady working the front desk late Thursday night was super super nice. Great first impression of Boise based on that alone!

Free breakfast but offerings limited to yogurt or eggs. Very noisy A/C unit. The toilet is directly next to the frosted glass bathroom door, which is fine for couples but worth taking into consideration who you're traveling with! Issue we had was we had picked up some favorite vegan food from a local restaurant to enjoy on the patio since we've really enjoyed the communal patios at other updated motels. We check-in and are invited to the happy hour. Awesome! We hope to order a beer and enjoy our food when a woman comes over and says that the health department will not allow us to eat our own food on our own plates and cutlery on the patio and that they would be shut down if they allowed it. When we ask where we could eat, she directs us to the street or our room. Our room only had a single chair and a thin rail, no proper dining setup. The patio was empty save for 2 tables but they couldn't stand to share the patio with hotel guests. The place was otherwise nice but the treatment soured our experience. I strongly suspect the health department would take no issue with our enjoyment of the patio.

Rooms are basic, but clean and mostly well stocked. No conditioner in our shower. I retrieved a little bottle from my suitcase, but again, at $300 a night, housekeeping should be on top of that. My least favorite thing, breakfast. Blaah! I've generally stayed at Hilton garden inns where you get a real breakfast served to you. Sorry, but this breakfast was not great, in fact, just not good. I'm sure convenience is its appeal to business travelers, but if quality or taste are your things, just skip it. We walked down about 8:45 (it runs from 6-10) and the place looked like a hurricane had hit it. Self serve breakfast bars have their place but dedicate a staff member to keeping things stocked up, counters cleaned and overflowing trash receptacles emptied. $300 a night, just sayin!!! I'll again say that if you are attending an event downtown this is a very convenient place to stay. That's its appeal to us. And that is why it gets three stars instead of two on my overall value score
