    2nd floor room. Cool vibe.

Very cool hotel with an energetic and welcoming staff across the board. Entire team friendly, professional, and helpful from check in to departure. Truly made us feel welcomed and valued. Bed, extremely comfortable, good Wi-Fi and location could not be better. Nice coffee shop in the lobby, everything is new and fresh, don't miss taking the stairs at least once to review the local geographic trivia. Finally, outside area is quiet and accommodating. When the weather is good, nice place to relax in an Adirondack with a beverage and just chill. The best dinner venues in downtown are just a 5-minute walk away. Solid hotel choice, definitely recommend. Finally, thanks again Sara, Ayla and the entire Sparrow team!

Based on reviews I chose the Sparrow for my trip to Boise. It's in the most excellent location. A lot of places to eat and drink all just steps away. If you are staying local a car isn't necessary. The airport is merely 15 mins away and about the same in fare. The room is clean, there is a hairdryer and a mini fridge. The shampoo and conditioner is next level not shit in a bottle so no need to pack your own. It isn't as fancy as the Renegade but the difference is in the dollar. Only funky thing is the lights do not turn on unless you leave your key in. At first I thought it was slightly annoying but upon further reflection I think it's a great set up. Electricity is expensive in $$ and environmental toll. I support this measure. I was always guilty of leaving a light on when I left my room. Pretty wasteful truth be told. I'd recommend.

Perfect hotel for visiting downtown Boise. Clean, dog friendly (dog bowl, potty bags, dog blanket), tastefully decorated, chocolates... priced the same as nearby chain hotels.

To top it off, the lady working the front desk late Thursday night was super super nice. Great first impression of Boise based on that alone!

Rooms are basic, but clean and mostly well stocked. No conditioner in our shower. I retrieved a little bottle from my suitcase, but again, at $300 a night, housekeeping should be on top of that. My least favorite thing, breakfast. Blaah! I've generally stayed at Hilton garden inns where you get a real breakfast served to you. Sorry, but this breakfast was not great, in fact, just not good. I'm sure convenience is its appeal to business travelers, but if quality or taste are your things, just skip it. We walked down about 8:45 (it runs from 6-10) and the place looked like a hurricane had hit it. Self serve breakfast bars have their place but dedicate a staff member to keeping things stocked up, counters cleaned and overflowing trash receptacles emptied. $300 a night, just sayin!!! I'll again say that if you are attending an event downtown this is a very convenient place to stay. That's its appeal to us. And that is why it gets three stars instead of two on my overall value score

Room: Spacious with kitchenette (microwave, full size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, dishes, cups/glasses, bowls, silverware, sink, dish soap/sponge. Quiet room even in room across from elevators (room 212). Good sink space for toiletries. Shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, soap, lotion but no shower cap. Daily housekeeping. Quiet A/C and heating unit (central, not a window unit). Only con is sometimes the shower at night was not as hot as I would have liked it. Amenities: 24 hour coffee (good), tea, hot chocolate in the lobby, snack/drink shop, small gym, indoor pool with slide and area for the kids with small rectangular area to swim circles (no laps) in. No hot tub Towels at the pool. Breakfast (free): Make your own breakfast sandwich (egg patty, sausage, ham, good biscuit), hard boiled eggs, potato patty or a seasoned french fry, make your own waffles, oatmeal, whole fruit, juices. Hours: 6 am - 10 am. No other restaurant on premise. Staff: Henry and Bella front desk receptionists made my week long stay a warm, friendly, more like home hotel to return to with their smiles and interest in our experiences Tip: I found Boise to have intense sun in the summer and to be very dry/desert-like. Our eyes were drying out, so bring eye drops. I also put bowls of water on the window sill to add a little water to the air. Great stay at Home2 Suites. Highly recommend.

Full Disclosure This…read morereview is for the Winter Market being held at the Riverside Hotel The Winter Market was a lot fun with a lot of people. It was great to see such a turnout for small business Saturday. We were on a mission to meet Melt. We had missed the Melt team at the Capital City market a couple of weeks back. We wanted to try their croissants and pain au chocolats. We found Melt at the back of the banquet room with a line which is a great line. Upon first glance the croissant roll, pain au chocolat and croissants looked amazing. Prices were expensive in terms of actually being in Paris but less than what's been charging locally. We picked up a couple of croissants, pain au chocolats, and an Opera. The lady in line says to me, " wow you even know how to speak the language " I smiled nicely. The croissant is excellent and looking forward to finding them next week in Eagle. As for the Riverside. A lot of work has been done to make it look very nice. The restaurant inside as well as the interior decor was inviting. We truly enjoyed looking at all the local artists on the walls. Parking was full but we found a spot.

They partner with the chain, but have no signage stating Best Western until you get to the concierge. This would normally be fine, except that I drove around this hotel 3 times until I got tired, walked in and figured it out. Upon arrival, the lady at reception was nice. She greeted me fine and gave me these delicious hot chocolate chip cookies. The room itself was nice, but boy was it a challenge getting to it. Did I mention this hotel is large? It apparently only has 2 elevators and they are both very far away from our room. After what felt like an hour we finally found our room and relocated our car for the 3rd time. Overall, the hotel is nice, the location is nice, but the service is what killed me. For one we asked for a shower cap and it took them over an hour to bring one. I also asked for recommendations for things to do in Boise and the young lady had no idea. Her response was that she never leaves her home. I feel that if you work in a hotel, you should have some idea as to where people should see and dine at in your area. Overall, nice hotel. But service is lacking.
