We found a great Groupon for this spa that provided two hour-long treatments along with a yoga class. I bought the Groupon for a couple, then called immediately to make the appointment. I was told that the Yoga class was no longer offered and I must have bought a very old Groupon. I told her I bought it 5 minutes earlier and asked to speak to the manager. Long story short, I had to leave THREE messages to be graced with a phone call back, and was told again that they no longer provide the Yoga class as part of the package. I feel the Groupon was misleading so beware if you see the same advertisement (I still see it posted on Groupon although I emailed them as a complaint). We stayed with the package although we could have gotten a refund from Groupon. The hotel is very nice, and we were able to use the pool and showers. The shower pipes made a terrible shaking screaming noise that went on forever...that I could hear over the hairdryer! Anyway - on to the massage and facial. Just Ok. Nothing really good or bad to say there. We waited in the quiet area and then had a couples massage that was nice, then split up for facials. With the Groupon, it is worth two hours of treatments, but they didn't wow me, and the front desk and management was not responsive. It def. is not worth full price since there is so much better in the area, but at half the cost, it is priced about right. read more

I'm going with 3 stars because the facial and massage were AMAZING! Nancy O is an extraction queen and you don't leave looking like a blotchy mess. Gio beat me up in the best possible way and I didn't have any pain the next day and feel great! Cons: locker room is down stairs, so you get into your robe, walk THROUGH the lobby and up a flight of stairs to the spa. Yup, through the lobby in your robe. No amenities. no whirlpool, steam room.. nothing. The pool is in the parking lot. so again in your robe, walking through the lobby to go to the pool. The spa seems more of an after thought instead of part of the resort. If they do another groupon I will go, but if I had to pay full price I would be upset. read more

Beautiful Hotel & Great Spa Treatments My mom was visiting so I planned a mother daughter spa day as a surprise for her. After much research, I settled on the Spa at Omphoy because the online images looked so serene and relaxing. We both signed up for a facial and massage. Starting at the beginning, they offered us complimentary valet parking, great perk. The staff from start to finish were very gracious, professional and accommodating.The hotel itself is lovely with a great ocean view. After our treatments, we enjoyed a light lunch and glass of wine on the terrace overlooking the ocean. We both loved our treatments, the masseuse and aesthetician were very knowledgable. The reason it's not five star worthy is because the Spa feels a bit disjointed. The Spa is located on the second floor - but the locker room is on the first floor and past the lobby. So, once you change, you have to walk through the lobby and in full view of the bar/restaurant (on the 2nd floor) in your robe. Once there, they seat you in a waiting area - and while it was lovely, comfortable chairs, soft music, tea and water etc...it shared a space with a workout studio, so a yoga class was happening while we were in there. Again, a bit uncomfortable - we felt like we were disrupting their Zen. Other than that - it was a great experience and I would go back. P.S. they automatically added the gratuity to my bill - which I totally missed, but my mom curious to what I was paying snuck a peek over my shoulder and clued me in! read more

I got a manicure/pedicure as a gift from my lovely boyfriend for my birthday this past weekend at the spa at Omphoy. I have to say, I've gotten my nails done at the worst of the worst and the best of the best of New York City...but I have NEVER EVER had my nails look so PERFECT as they did (and still do!) after my mani/pedi at the spa. The attention to detail was something I've never experienced before, and the experience in itself was so relaxing, I felt like I had a massage afterwards! If you're at the Omphoy, book a mani/pedi with Gina...she's a total professional. I'm even staring at my nails as I type this in utter disbelief that my nails could look so good. Came to the Omphoy on a Groupon and so glad we did! I had a very nice facial and an amazing massage. Gio did my massage and he was INCREDIBLE! 6 foot forever with hands to match, I would go back just for him! The spa itself had a lot of downfalls though. I also used a Groupon to try out the spa. They need to work on many aspects of the spa to make it five star quality. When I arrived, both receptionists were on calls, I waited several minutes to check in. The staff at the desk were both very nice. I agree with other reviewers that walking through the lobby wearing a bathrobe and up a staircase to get from the locker room to the spa is not ideal. The relaxation area was not relaxing. It is a huge room with very sparse seating. There are products on one wall for sale. They need to add some nice lounge chairs and tables. Some people had to stand because there were no seats. I got a facial and a massage. If you get a facial, have it done after the massage not before so you don't lay on your face afterward. read more

I treated myself to a Groupon package for this spa which is located in South Palm Beach, just north of the Lake Worth bridge. This was a two service groupon and I choose to have a facial and a massage. First, they were very helpful when I called to book the appointments since I called last minute and worked with me to find a time that I could have back to back services. Second, The Omphoy is a lovely boutique hotel that had a major renovation a few years ago and then it changed hands again. I had been there for dinner before, but had not utilized the spa. While the hotel is lovely, the spa experience is a little disjointed. As others have mentioned, the locker room is down stairs next to the gym area, which makes sense for the gym but not for the spa. Then after you change into your robe, you have to walk back through the lobby in your robe. I was glad my appointments were early b/c this was a strange experience. Third, the actual services were great. I had a great facial with some products and techniques that were new to me. And my massage with Orlando was fantastic. If you use the spa, or at least with the Groupon I purchased, you can use the pool and beach and other areas but I did not have time to do so (perhaps that would bump it up to 4 stars). The prices with the Groupon were more than fair and reasonable, but at regular prices it might feel overpriced for experience. After my spa pampering, I had a great breakfast out overlooking the beach and water. Sadly, at some point the guest next to me lit up a cigar and staff would not tell him to put it out even though it ruined the remainder of my breakfast. The hotel is beautiful. There's a great infiniti edge pool with hot tub and cabanas on one side withe the beach on the other. Beautiful restaurant upstairs with a spectacular view. They could have designed the space a bit better though. I would have liked for the spa to be more separated from the hotel. The locker rooms are downstairs and you have to walk through the main lobby in your robe to get to the spa. The locker rooms could use a bit more as well. Services were good though. Disappointing. You have to change in a locker room on a different floor, and then walk through the lobby and upstairs in your robe. Everything was meat locker cold - the changing room, the waiting area, the treatment rooms, the water for tea - not exactly relaxing. Bathrooms were out of order, towels had visible stains, they don't give you flip flops for the visit - not the experience I was looking for from a "luxury" spa. I had the most incredible facial during my stay at the Omphoy. While the massage was good, it wasn't as amazing as the facial, and I left with greasy hair. For the price, you really can't get a better facial, and I'd highly recommend. read more

I bought 2 living social coupons for a 50 minute massage & a 50 minute facial. I agree with the other post that is really weird walking thru the hotel in your robe & flip flops from the ladies locker room (which is always freezing). On my 1st visit, my massage was fine. Then after being called for my facial @ 5 minutes after the hour, I was left sitting on the table for another 5 minutes. Then the facialist had the nerve to end my facial at 10 till. That was a 40 minute facial. I did complain and I was given my upgrade for free. So recently (this Mon 1/13/14), I tried it again. AGAIN, my massage was cut short to 40 minutes. I paid for 50. I complained again and asked that the facialist please give me my complete 50 minutes. Well, after that I got the cold shoulder from everyone! I live full time in the area. My understanding is when you sell a Groupon/Living Social, you are trying to drum up business. I would have loved to come back, but after the same thing happened on 2 visits, I will not be going back. My suggestion is if someone is using a groupon/social living, don't treat them like a second class citizen, treat them like royalty so you will have repeat business! With so much competition, no one should be treated like this. read more

I recently purchased a Living Social coupon for the Omphoy Spa. We were in town visiting our daughter and thought it would be a nice treat. I had a facial and massage as part of the groupon. The hotel is beautiful, but the Spa is somewhat disjointed. The actual Spa is downstairs near the bar, while the locker room is upstairs by the lobby. Which means you must walk through the lobby in your robe both before and after your treatment. The Locker room is also freezing. My facial was satisfactory, but i did feel like she was rushing through it. Same with my massage, turned out to be in the same room, yet they had me get up from my facial, get dressed, go back to the relaxing room and then they brought me right back to my same room. It would have been more relaxing to just stay under the warm blankets. The room was small and my masseuse was bumping into the bed and walls as she tried to maneuver. No music and was not a zen like experience. Afterwards, i heard them offering people wine, but they never did offer us any. Another complaint, they rang up the bill, i asked about gratuity and they automatically add 20%, without even mentioning it. That gives the people doing the actual services no incentive to do a good job, they are guaranteed 20%. There must be better Spa's in West Palm Beach. read more
