Not forgetting having some of the worst views for away fans in the league through the pillars at the back or staff and stewards constantly walking infront of you (which also blocked the disabled supporters). The stewards here also seem to be the rudest I've experienced, not only blocking my view with no apology but stopping fans from getting to the barriers meaning they can't get close to the players after the game (no other stadium does this) A stadium which even after a win can bring disappointment and for me Everton's new stadium can't come soon enough.

Not really... I'm a massive Liverpool fan, so I'm supposed to hate Everton... but I don't. I think they're one of the best clubs in the whole world! First-Hand Experience: I've seen Everton play live - in person - too many times, I respect them, but Liverpool are twice as good. You can't get much more first hand than watching Everton play at Goodison (and Anfield). They're older than Liverpool, and nowhere near as successful, but they live just down the road from us, right across the park, and we enjoy the "friendly derby" with them. Their stadium is lovely (just like Anfield) and even though they play in ugly blue and dislike LFC, I still like them. They're like our angry little cute brother. Formed in 1878, they had David Moyes as manager for ages (and won nothing) and now have Martinez (much more fun to watch). They are known as the Toffees because they are all a bit fat. They have been champions of England 9 times (I got shot 9 times - 50 Cent), which is half as many times as their city rivals but still more than almost any other team. The last time was in 1987 (three years before Liverpool's last title). Five of the titles were before WWII, since then the other three are 63, 70 and 85. They were runners up 6 times, but only once after the first world war which was 86, behind Liverpool. They won the FA Cup 5 times... 06, 33, 66, 84 and 1995, their most recent trophy. They have been League Cup runners up twice. Amazingly, they won the Cup Winners Cup in Europe in 1985. They are one of very few English teams to win a European trophy. And as for a little banter, I will echo what Jasper said: "They used to have a chubby lad named Wayne who would kick about down here but he has since moved on to a career in fondling yer nan. Gone are the glory days of Danny Cadamarteri and Francis Jeffers, but this is still a good place to get some chips if you can manage to ignore all the tripe on the pitch."

She's still very athletic though, which is why we call her "Wig Ann, Athletic." First-Hand Experience: Wigan is one of my fave underdog teams. I've seen them play once at the DW and twice away from home around the country. They have always represented themselves well. I last saw them in 2011. Now that they have fallen from grace, I wish them a speedy recovery. Their owner's oft-racist and oft-unwise remarks and tirades are the only reason I give them 4 instead of 5. That, and the fact that they can't fill a stadium. This team, I have mixed feelings about. Roberto Martinez and Paul Jewell really put them on the map, two of my favourite managers. But their owner Dave Whelan, famous for making meat pies, is a bit of a racist and nationalist, and gets on my nerves sometimes. I also respect him in other ways though. They were founded in the 1930s so they're a relatively new team. They play in blue and white and are called the Latics. They were in the Prem for ages, until they randomly, crazily won the FA Cup in 2013, and were relegated the same season. That's the only glory the club has ever had, after being the League Cup runner up in 2006. So well done to them for that, what a fairy tale. The stadium is often empty and the owner is questionable, and for that reason I'll give them a 4 instead of 5.

Under of stewardship of player/manager Dave Challinor a decent team has been assembled and things are certainly on the up. Facilities have improved lately too with a decent clubhouse where you can get a half time pint and a takeaway food counter for pies and cups of tea. The ground is also scenically located high up in Old Colwyn so if the game is a bit dull then you can always take in the surrounding views!

I've been to this supporters club more times than I can count, and have watched matches with the official supporters club in the pub that is dedicated to them on Lower Breck. It's a fantastic experience with some of the most hardcore fans of the club that exist. Fantastic organization and a fantastic team. Like Kev said, "We Liverpool fans cover the Earth and from Anfield all the way to Anartica, you will find us." And it's true. Liverpool may actually sound like a morbid gory spot where Hannibal Lecter discards his uneaten organs that he can't finish, but in fact it's the best and most wonderful football (soccer) team in the world. You can come here to the supporter's club on Lower Breck Road and watch games on TV with the most passionate and loyal of hardcore fans. You'll Never Walk Alone.

One place where grassroots football is definitely on show is at playfootball.net in Crosby. The centre contains several 5 and 7 a-side pitches that are of the highest quality Astroturf; none of this sand on carpet nonsense like it used to be, think more like playing on a green carpet that can be played on in any weather conditions (nothing too extreme, mind). As well as offering pitches for hire, the centre also has weekly leagues that can be entered into where, whilst the quality of football might not be the greatest, you can definitely count on blood, sweat and the occasional tear. The centre has a sports bar to relax in which is perfect for a post-run out pint or for watching the footy and is also available for private hire (I had the pleasure of attending a party there once and was most impressed with the size of the room). A brilliant place to go for those of you still looking to strut your stuff on pitches that are small enough to hide how unfit you really are.

Pretty much your one-stop-shop for anything sport related. I've been coming here for years and have pretty much tried all they have to offer. Most often we'd come and play football, they have 5, 5 aside pitches, a 7 aside pitch and an 11 aside (or near enough) pitch - and rental prices are pretty competitive with other options around Bolton. They have a nice little cafe inside as well so you can grab a coffee before or after and they have sandwiches too!

Chester City, the previous team in the area, went bankrupt, and Chester FC were born in the rubble. They play in blue and white. First-Hand Experience: I saw them play at their new stadium not long after it first opened, and I've been back as a tourist a couple of times. I've also seen them play away from home and their fans away are excellent, as are the club in general. I give them a 5 star rating for that and other things I will mention in the next paragraph. I will see them again soon since it's been so long. Their stadium, the Deva, now known as Exacta, holds over 5k people but is a bit soul-less and generic. However the team is supporter-owned and that is a really wonderful thing, and for that, the team gets 5 stars. It's been winning a lot of titles and soaring up through the divisions and long may it continue. I'm a big supporter of fan owned teams. The original team, Chester City, were founded in 1885 and they are missed, but their spirit lives on in this fan-owned team. Even if the supporters do all love Chesthair, they're still cool.
