Dispcrepancy in treating NHS patients: I had a free consultation as maternity certificate holder but I was registered with the practice since 2010. My registered dentist said that I had to see hygienist because of the state of my gums after pregnancy. She said that it will be free under certificate because she prescribed it. But guess what, after the treatment I had to shell out over £40 because my dentist stopped working for the practice (within a month or so) and the receptionist insisted that I hand over the money. I do not think I will be going back there just because of their attitude. I also know about another customer on a long treatment program with them, and they have changed their pricetag half-way through the treatment (asking for £300 more)! I noticed my teeth were starting to decay recently and seeing as my teeth are important to me in my job and generally say who I am, I knew I really had to buckle down to see what the cause was. It turns out I was pregnant, which can increase your chance of gum disease. To say I was shocked was an understatement. I had veneers fitted several years ago in another clinic and I wasn't happy, they were chipping left right and centre. It was only until I came to this clinic who obviously have some expertise in their field and realised It was down to bite problems. Now wouldn't you think my previous dentist would have noticed this. I grant you that the prices for the Smile Practice crowns were a bit more expensive than I've been charged from other practices but the quality is definitely what is being paid for. My new crowns now look and feel more natural and you can;t notice them when I smile-so it really is worth the extra cost. read more

This place has been great, they have always been professional and helpful to me but when i chipped a tooth the service was fantastic, within 2 appointments, within 1 week my tooth was all patched up (painlessly) and treatment completed. You can hardly tell it was chipped at all. read more
