called aug. 25th to replace 2 belts that came off. kevin said bring it a week from monday, 9 days…read morelater. i did. on the way, almost there, top radiator hose blew off. the FIRST thing he said to me was, "i'm a little more behind now. had a guy sick out on me this morning". the next day i went by there to get something from my car on the way by to somewhere else. again, the FIRST thing he said was, " now i'm even further behind. had a guy quit on me this morning". i asked during the week if he could get to it by friday because i had a best buy install for a car subwoofer on saturday morning. he hemmed and hawed. so wednesday i decided not to keep the install scheduled so those guys could have a chance to replace that 2.5 hrs in their schedule and still make money. good thing too because kevin did NOT get to my repair. he's closed tomorrow so the earliest possible repair date will be tuesday the 5th. FAT CHANCE THOUGH!!! plus, i called him 4 times before closing last friday with no answer and no return call. then after closing i texted his cell. still no answer. if you take a car there you're taking every bit as much of a chance as i did, but you've been warned. i wasn't.

But, when I took my dodge dakota to Buddy's automotive for a wheel bearing replacement, power steering repair, and brake pad replacement. When I got my truck back and the front left break caliper was broken (which left me on the side of the road) and two connectors and a hose was missing from my washer fluid reservoir. Buddy's wants to charge me an additional fee to have the caliper repaired and I sure hope that I can go back to get my washer parts. If you want a job completed do not go to Buddy's Automotive in Pendleton SC. You may end up like me and have to fix it yourself on a weekend that you could otherwise be spending doing better things. because you cannot afford the labor cost at another shop to fix Buddy's mistakes!

Horrible experience, very unprofessional & mis-informed about the actual conditions of my truck…read more Estimate was "Fuel filler neck $300.00 approx part & labor. If you need to drop tank to find it (leak) $240.". 4 weeks for appointment, 5 weeks in the garage. Then I'm told my truck was ready for the junk yard & unsafe for the road because the frame was rusted. NOT THE TRUTH! I was told he'd need to remove the bed of the truck in order to fix the fuel issue. New estimate $722, possible more. They cut two c-clamps to remove the cover or bed liner. He attempted to remove the bed of the truck to change out a fuel tank. Mickey didn't support the frame in anyway, or place it on a lift. A rusted driver side lead spring bracket was rust & broke when taking out the bolt. Then the spring lifted the truck bed. Well duh., with no support that will happen. I was told he wouldn't work on it because it was ready for the junk yard & he'd only take $100 for his trouble. So I pay $100 to tow, $100 to him & now had to tow it elsewhere to actually have the repair. Not just the fuel tank, but I've got the Spring bracket & shackles to replace. $1,312.03. Plus the previous amount incurred by Mickey. The other garages did not remove the truck bed to replace a the fuel tank. Truck runs perfectly fine & is very road worthy. Sorry, I will not just throw a vehicle (truck) away because of you're incompetent.
