    I'm assessing the viability of pursuing a class action lawsuit against UDR (Slade's management company) and CommTow for their practices that are not only predatory, but also violative of UDR's own lease/addendum terms, so please email me directly (koziolj1@tcnj.edu) if you or anyone you know has been a victim and are interested in joining the class. Please continue reading below for my experience - I pay for an unreserved resident spot in the Slade parking garage, where I parked my vehicle before leaving for a trip to NJ on August 10. When I returned from my trip on August 21, my vehicle was no longer in the parking garage. I came to learn that my vehicle had been towed by CommTow on August 13 'due to a flat tire.' When I contacted UDR regarding the issue, which I was completely unaware of until returning from my trip and discovering my vehicle missing from the garage where I pay to park, I was told that I was given '24 hours notice to fix the flat tire or be towed per the Community Parking guidelines.' It turns out that the 'notice' I was given was a sticky note left on my window at 4:50 am by CommTow, which I of course did not see, as I was out of state for the next full week. UDR's exclusive means of communicating with residents is through emails and text messages, and while they have no qualms about sending multiple reminders of rent payments and the like, they are now claiming that a sticky note left on my vehicle from CommTow - while I was out of state - was sufficient. It cost $628 to retrieve my vehicle from the CommTow lot and UDR is offering me no remedy aside from filing a complaint against CommTow with the Hillsborough County Consumer Protection Services, which is entirely insufficient. I've requested ad nauseam the contact information of any higher up who might be able to assist, but to date have only been given the email addresses of a manager and district manager who reiterate the same drone script attempting to avert liability. As of today they have stopped responding to my emails, and I'm unable to reach anyone on the phone, as the customer service line only provides the option to exchange futile text messages with inept staff, and both managers who did call me earlier this week used blocked caller IDs. This is unacceptable, and I intend on pursuing this matter to the fullest extent out of principle. If you are a current or former resident, please cross reference the first section above for information on becoming a putative class member. If you are considering becoming a resident, I highly advise you look elsewhere.

    Welp, as I sit here at the Slade on July 4th, I decided I needed to post a review. There is a party going on out by the pool and the DJ is playing the music way too loud. Submitted a noise complaint and sought out the "concierge," but he/she is nowhere to be found. UDR and the management here do not care about the residents or are too afraid to confront the idiots who like to throw parties at the pool with DJs blaring their music at an obscene volume. I posted some screenshots of how loud it actually got here and 130db is comparable to a live rock band, jet engine and jackhammer. In addition, most of the people at the party don't even live here. I bet if I came to their house and blared music at 130db, they wouldn't be too happy. But I guess they don't care when it's someone else's residence. Also, despite the rule about no alcohol on the pool deck, you can see people with beer bottles and alcohol cans at the pool and people playing beer pong. If you want to party, come to the Slade. If you just want some peace, quiet, and relaxation, look elsewhere. This place is horrible. By the way, I already previously submitted numerous noise complaints to wecare@udr.com, and no one responded. I also submitted noise complaints via the app and, again, Destiny just closes them out without contact me or providing an explanation. I guess at this point, the management is used to noise complaints and they don't care. Update - If you are serious about your residents' comfort and safety, please respond to one of the three emails I sent to wecare@udr.com. I have yet to receive a response to my concerns via email. However, since Yelp is the only medium to which UDR responds, I will continue to post videos and pictures of the obnoxiously loud parties that occur here until the problem is resolved.

As a resident, the staff are like family, the management cares, the maintenance staff are beyond skilled and helpful, they are responsive and go above and beyond. The parking is one car limit like most high rises in water street area but I LOVE that its reserved space and they keep random people and guests out of our spaces. I love the concierge & security onsite, we all can still have fun but they keep wild residents from going overboard in amenities or bringing glass in the pool, and the cleaners keep the building looking and smelling so good. I've become friends with so many neighbors since moving in who also love it here, but its sad to come on here to see fellow residents using bad reviews as a dishonest jab tool when they break rules or don't get their way. I have been to hyde, soho, harbour, channelside, tampa heights, westshore, and this is hands down one of the best places to live in Tampa. i don't expect perfection- that's just unreasonable but I love it here and can count on Meridian.

There must be drug dealers in the building or something. It is almost daily at this point. I have filed complaints, told the front desk, contacted corporate, no one does anything but close the tickets I file and pretend nothing has happened. If you like your apartment, clothes, and furniture smelling like smoke that is what you will experience here almost every day. There is no concern about residents except to make sure they get paid. My apartment flooded last year during the hurricane and I had to fight to keep a dehumidifier in my room to prevent mold. The windows opened during the hurricane (not even a direct hit) and when the contractor came he told me they have had multiple problems with the rooms and that it would probably happen again. The hallways have marks on them and the place is obviously degrading over time. This place has nice luxury features such as a nice pool, gym, and rooftop, but the rooms are built with the cheapest materials known to man and the lack of attention from the management company is a huge problem and why I don't recommend living here to anyone.

But I was shocked that very close to move date, I was informed that the apartment I wanted went up $500.00 from what they suggested the price would be once available. I know that apartment prices can fluctuate but I have never seen it jump that much. It really felt that they knew I wanted that specific apartment and decided to gauge me on the price. I decided to walk away and move to another place as the square footage of the apartments at Mosaic are somewhat smaller compared to other newer apartments available, especially for the newly inflated price they decided to quote me. I now look online and the apartment is being offered way below the price I was quoted. It has left me with feelings of the office administration being suspect. No apartment jumps $500.00 and then lists the next day for a lot less. The most egregious issue was they would not even return my initial deposit. How suspect and petty is this. A million-dollar organization deciding to beat an applicant out of a deposit after they go back on what they told me. Although I enjoyed working with Griffin, I find others there to be suspect on their process, suspect on their return contact and more than suspect on their pricing. As soon as I have a moment, I will reach out to the actual ownership of the apartment building to get a better understanding of the tomfoolery afloat at Mosaic and update this review. Kevin L.

We thought we would roll the dice and get a middle unit and the person above us must be 500lbs because we can hear the pounding footsteps above us very loudly... even with ear plugs in! So yeah this place doesn't have concrete floors and is not quiet in our case so be warned and don't take any chances unless it's top floor. We value sleep so will be moving out if nothing opens up top floor.

The apt was clean and exactly as described. It is small but perfect for one or two people. It is located in a safe area and we walked everywhere to explore-! Only a few blocks from the DI village for coffee or a bite to eat and we even walked to the end of the island to see the airport and explore the beach. Neighbors were quiet and the apt was furnished with everything we needed. Oh - and the bed was extremely comfortable- which is always important! Dan was very responsive to any questions we had and we are glad we found the Island Suites to check out the Tampa area!

After check in I was greeted with a letter welcoming me there and it felt great knowing they care that much about customer service. The units have everything you need in an ideal location in Davis Islands close to bars and restaurants and the water. I can honestly say that Dan went way above from a customer service perspective the entire time I was there. Any time I asked him if anything he would address it right away. His company stands above every corporate housing company I have ever used for one reason...him. The guy goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable the entire time.
