Now for the treatment! Sarah was really lovely and super knowledgeable! She really went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. She kept checking in with me during the procedure to ensure I was doing okay! CO2 is fairly aggressive, but with the care instructions I received and plan leaving the office, I was so ready for recovery! I'm SO excited for my results! The review does not reflect poorly on her whatsoever. I want to be quite clear about that. Unfortunately, the low rating is for the first impression of the spa and the business policy. I have absolutely NEVER rated a spa this low. I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes before it began and walked into an empty waiting room. The minutes ticked on as my appt. approached and still no one was at the front desk. The owner exited a treatment room with one of her clients, and to my surprise, didn't even make eye contact with me. I was the only one in the waiting room. She proceeded to check her customer out at the register, then walked to the back of the building. No hello. No greeting. No eye contact. Zilch. Yikes. The front desk employee finally came up to the waiting area and didn't say anything to me, but shyly smiled. I ended up having to say that I had a 1:45 appt; it was 1:47. All she said was "yeah I think you're checked in already". Not "Cristelle is running late" or "I'm so sorry for the wait". Nada. The actual service by Cristelle was superb. My skin was THIRSTY for a hydrafacial! The extra arm/neck massage was so wonderful as well. She is a total sweetie and is great at what she does! I do remember booking my initial appt. with Rachel though, and there was no mention of why Rachel wasn't available that day. The only con was the music, which I gently had to tell her to change, because the lyrics were something to the tune of "you can undress me and touch my body", etc. Definitely not calming for what should be a relaxing appointment and experience. R&B is not relaxing :) After the appointment, Cristelle recommended several products and I walked away with a sunscreen that I'm very excited to try! A couple of days later, I booked another online appointment, this time with Rachel, because I chose a day I was available. I was called 10 minutes later, only to be told that "they like customers to stay with one provider", so I essentially HAD to be booked with Cristelle in order to stay a customer. Huh? I've never heard of such a thing. You need to let customers choose a day that THEY have free, not based on you wanting them to stay with the same esthetician. I'm sure this place has its regulars and that's great. But due to the lack of basic customer service skills and the fact that a customer can't actually choose an appointment date that works for THEM, you've lost me. I left feedback on the follow up form and never heard from the owner. Lastly is the alert system, which literally sent me 4 texts in a matter of 12 hours letting me know what my appointment time was. Way overkill. I almost didn't mention it, but I think it's noteworthy of marketing, is that the flyer for your upcoming event doesn't have a time on it. I know you know this, I'm just not sure why you would leave people with not knowing a time for an event. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration, considering customers are what makes a business run.

I've had facials before but this was truly a game changer in learning what I could do. I did buy some products and then have gotten a few more to round out the regime I need. I'll be honest - I made more than 1 u-turn getting to the new spot, which is only directly accessible going northbound on Independence. If you're traveling south, you have to make u-turn. And if you miss it going north, you may have to make several. Now that I know where it is, I won't miss it again! Look for the red State Farm sign at the entrance to the professional center before turning in. I do really like this new spot which is solely for EA Esthetics. The entrance is lovely and welcoming, with beautifully-displayed retail merchandise to browse while you wait for your esthetician. It seems like an overwhelming selection of serums, lotions, washes, etc. but you will get an expert-recommendation after a consult with Emily or the other staff. On this visit, I was taken back for my treatment right at my appointment time. Amanda was kind enough to make sure I was comfortable before beginning - I was in for a long haul (2+ hours!). About halfway through treatment, I got chilly and she had a cozy blanket ready for me. She explained each step of the process so I knew what to expect and I was so happy with the results. I was a little scared at how dark my brows were initially, but as promised, they lightened to a perfect tint within a couple of days. Their website is so easy to use for booking and gives a detailed description of service and prices. For both my brows and lashes, it cost over $200, but this definitely seems to be competitive with other VB spas. I was incredibly happy with my results and will return for touch-ups, as recommended, in a few weeks. I have had a great experience each time I have been in and highly recommend Emily and Amanda for any skincare need!

She trained at EVMS under well known and respected children's dermatologist Judith Williams who is a friend. The staff was friendly upon checking-in. The waiting room is small but adequate. I found it clean and comfortable. Forms can be completed in advance by mail or you can arrive early to fill out in the waiting room. The wait time to see Dr. Beck was reasonable at around 25 minutes after paperwork was turned in. I immediately liked her bedside manner and she hit it off with my daughter quickly. She was easy to talk to and had loads of smiles to reassure my daughter. I found her to be confident and knowledgeable during the exam. An immediate diagnosis and treatment plan was achieved in no time. A prescription was then provided. Dr. Beck is young, energetic and eager to lift her practice off the ground.
