After being a loyal returning customer to blue gum apartments for the past 6 years taking two apartments a visit I've noticed not only the room conditions but the cleanliness factor drop very considerably to the point I feel the need to review to warn people of what they are about to book. After checking in we were treated to filthy apartments that were just cleaned with a broken shower and broken but cleaned cup in the cupboards and no bathroom floor mats having to use a towel and wash it daily. Dirty marks on walls carpets and kitchen bench,including floor tiles with bad beds you can't get comfortable in. 2 nights in a row fire alarms randomly going off for no reason is also a inconvenience. No smoke alarms in common areas is a massive fire risk, infact they are on the floor missing batteries broken... The best part is when you goto call to complain and the fellow gives you attitude obviously because it's not the 1st phone call he's had in relation to similar experiences and then continued to pass the buck onto strata management out of his control.. Pathetic If your thinking of staying here, do yourself and your hip pocket a huge favour and disregard this place as your well earned money is not respected or obviously wanted here and after 6 years of using this place we will not be returning. As someone who frequents dedicated burger joints like NBC and Rascal, I will concede the best burger title is deserved. It's simple. Joking with my husband they had merely crossed the road and purchased a Whopper. But simple is often best. Beef patty, lettuce, tomato, pickle, house sauce and perfectly melted cheese. Loved it. Wanted another one! Chips are extra which is a bit unusual as most places will have them included. They redeemed my trust by offering standard or sweet potato at the same price of $4 rather than charging more for sweet potato. Two minor deterrents for me. 1. Lack of onsite parking which is easily solved with the nearby Stockland Jesmond carpark. 2. Auto doors to what I assume is their pokies room which led to smoke wafting out where we were dining. A lot has been done to make hotels and pubs more family friendly and smelling smoke these days is rare. So whilst it was far from overpowering, it was definitely noticeable in comparison to other modern venues.

The lobby was very modern and welcoming …read more Very modern rooms, great pool and atmosphere in that area for kids and families and even with the ability to order food and drinks beside the pool is awesome. A lot of underground parking, which is great. The only issue we had with it it filled up quickly and had to get back early each day to make sure we could park undercover. Restaurants, we're all located next-door in the club and there was a huge variety to choose from. If I came back to the area again, I would likely stay here
