Feeling adventurous, I ordered a drink with lots of ingredients I'd never heard of. The bar tender was fantastic and made the drink while explaining to me the different flavors of each ingredient. The ambiance easily deserves its own paragraph. I loved the unique and inviting seating, the board game shelf, the record player, and the old piano near the entryway. There's also a performance room, and I wish I'd had the chance to see it in action! According to the bar tender, they host plays, music, and even drag shows! Rarely do I find such a treasure in rural Wisconsin. I can't wait to return, hopefully someday soon!

We decided to start with the artichoke dip which was a generous amount and tasted great. The chips were salty but that's what you get for commercial bagged chips. My Bloody Mary was delicious. Thick and full of flavor, just the way I like them. At least really good for anywhere in WI that I have found so far. I had the thin crust hot honey pizza w added black olives and mushrooms. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this pizza. It was just so good! Just the right amount of honey sweetness to offset the salty of the cheese and pepperoni! I could have gorged myself and ate the whole thing, but I did restrain myself fortunately. We had a couple slices reheated in the air fryer for a late snack (we NEVER do this!)", and my husband decided he was also a fan. They have actors who could easily be performing in New York or Chicago, but they chose to come back to rural Wisconsin every year for a reason. Top notch people who run this theatre, along with talented people in all aspects of the productions here make it an absolute joy to be sitting in the audience. Pack a picnic to enjoy in the woods before you head up to the beautiful, scenic theatre, where you are guaranteed to love what you see! The concession workers are amazing too-you can really tell that everyone who works at APT takes pride in what they do to keep people happy and coming back again and again!

This time we opted for upstairs seating and went downstairs to grab a couple of drinks just prior to the show starting. The beverage service is generally prompt even though at times there can be a long lines. The biggest joy is hearing these small bands perform and hoping for them that they make it to the big time!

I'm pretty sure this Saturday night show was wrapped up and had a bow put on it by 10 or 10:30pm. I would totally come see a show here again and would totally see NQB again. Wisconsin Brewing Company was founded in 2013 while my family was still living in Madison, and…read morerecently underwent a change to be called Lake Louie Brewing. My wife and I stopped in for dinner, and found it to be a good experience. An original founder was Kirby Nelson, who had become very well known in the area (during a time when craft brewing was just starting out), spending many years as head brew master at nearby Capital Brewery (a brewery I knew very very well, considering I worked nearby and had many work related events at their seasonal biergarten). I distinctly remember when they were building this location out in the middle of nowhere, and stopped in multiple times in the early years. In 2019, it merged with with Lake Louie Brewing (another smaller brewery whose beers I really liked). In 2023, it consolidated all of its beers under the Lake Louie moniker, including renaming this location. I hadn't stopped by since that had happened, so was looking forward to visiting for dinner during our second night of our Midwest road trip. They have a large outdoor dining areas, with nice views of the pond and some people were taking advantage. But it was dusk, and the mosquitos were out, so we chose inside seating. It was Wednesday, which meant they had $12 pitchers of any draft beers (which is a great deal). Instead, we ordered a flight ($12 for 4 pours) letting the bartender choose: Kiss the Lips, Badger Club, Warped Speed, Oktoberfest. Warped Speed was my favorite beer (Scotch ale) from the original Lake Louie before it got bought, and it didn't disappoint. The Wednesday special is a $12 small cheese and pepperoni pizza from JonnyO's (located in Belleville which isn't that close), and it's a decent size (enough for two people). We had to try it, but I wouldn't do it again. The price is outstanding, but the time to wait is too long. It is ordered and paid via kiosk. Basically, it's delivery and took exactly 1 hour for the pizza to be delivered. The pizza was OK, and would have been good if served fresh...but it tasted like a pizza that had been made 45 minutes ago and delivered. Definitely better when busier...my guess is that they waited for my pizza until the last possible minute for other orders to come in, and when it didn't, delivered it to meet the 1 hour promise time. I also got a pint of the Tart Lime Twist ($6) which went great with the pizza. We really liked the Tart Lime so got a 4 pack of that ($6) and my favorite (Warped Speed for $6), to bring back to California. The service was good throughout, and they used Square for their payment processing.

The general admission floor area gains you an up close and personal experience right up to the stage. Unlike many venues there's even a concession stand near the front area. You can't beat $3 cans of beer at a concert. Of course being a casino there's even a few dozen slot machines within the venue to pass the time while waiting for your act to start. We saw The Struts and they really put on a high energy show. Our tickets were $30 and with that we were within touching distance of the group throughout the show. This was our first venture to Mississippi Moon Bar and the Diamond Jo Casino, and likely will not be our last.

However we were able to get her down there anyway. I almost laughed out loud at their definition of "full". In New Orleans or Philly, this floor would only be considered 2/3 full. There was plenty of room which made it great! The acoustics were quite good. Great sight lines. Staff friendly and drinks cheap. No one was smoking in the music venue, only in the casino itself. Free garage parking. There are a couple of restaurants and a Subway if you want a quick hoagie. I did not eat here.
