I'm super impressed!! Maybe it's just me or maybe it's 2020 but I miss good service. Ok so I've used other places in the city and even tried that service where you mail them and they return them sharpened and tbh I've been disappointed by the quality of the sharpening and/or the turnaround. NEITHER WERE ISSUES HERE!! I just got my 5 knives returned to me 2 hours after dropping them off!! WOW!! And after a couple tests cuts, these bad boys have never been so SHARP!!! Price was super reasonable too. Don't be discouraged when you walk up to the door and see the "ring doorbell" and don't feel weird you didn't need to fill out a ton of paperwork. Mike is friendly and does superb work. Ring the bell at his door and he'll be there shortly! He sharpened 3 chef's knives and 2 paring knives in an hour. I ran a couple errands and he called me when they were ready. One of the chef's knives was a Zwilling I found at Goodwill for $2 that was in terrible shape with a slightly bent tip. Dropped off 4 knives and an scissor. He left voice mail that it was done about 1.5 hours later. When I picked up , he explained that he couldn't sharpen scissors since it was riveted in and not screwed in. Demonstrated that knives were sharp by cutting a piece of paper. read more

Nevertheless in one hours time all four utensils were filed to razor sharpness. It's always reassuring to find a classic old school Mom & Pop brick & mortar store specializing in old World techniques. Inexpensive! The blades were returned giftwrapped in butcher paper. This Service would make really thoughtful gifts to any of your home culinary chefs.
