Absolutely pathetic production from an accounting firm rumored to have first rate customer service…read moreby multiple peers in my profession. The CPA we used for over three years was constantly delayed responding to emails, never available for phone calls and the office manager's consistent response was that our returns were "on his desk pending review". This was a yearly experience for the first three years using the firm. Our displeasure culminated in a year long effort to obtain an assessment from a state audit of a return that Byers and Byers prepared. After months of attempting to get a response, answer, or any type of correspondence from the CPA, I got a curt response and an advisement that I, after over 9 month of waiting, attempting to contact, ask the status of, and meet with a Byers and Byers representative, was somehow rude and should take my business elsewhere. Quite the customer service. An attempt to contact the managing partner of this firm went absolutely unanswered. After sharing this experience with my peers, most disclosed that they have had similar experiences and ALL FIVE OF OUR FAMILIES are taking our business elsewhere, as the CPA suggested. Save yourself the trouble and bypass this firm.

We filed our taxes with James and his staff a couple of weeks ago and were blown away with how…read morehelpful they were! We just moved 10 months ago from NC and not only did we have my husbands W2, but we also started our own business this year that had to be looked at. I also sell Mary Kay, so we had to look at that as well. The amount of documentation I took in their office was ridiculous, but James and Theresa were so patient in going through all of it with me and helping me to figure out what deductions we could take and what else we could look at to get what we owed down as much as possible. From medical bills to home office work and other business related expenses, I was incredibly grateful to have such knowledgeable professionals on our side. They were also able to file our documents for us to switch to an S-corp and will be helping with payroll starting March 1st. I couldn't speak highly enough about this group of individuals! If you need your taxes done, your books updated, your payroll taken care of, or anything else to do with your finances, I absolutely recommend you give them your business!
