65p sandwich anyone?
This is a review that I've debated about writing or not, as it is one of those hidden places that is an Aladdin's cave of fabulousness because not many people know its there. Also a dear friend who introduced me to this gem would be absolutely horrified if he knew I was sharing this with you all, but sharing is caring so here we go....
65p sandwich shop, as we call it, does exactly what is says on the tin. The sandwich man is a company that spends its morning travelling around local businesses selling its lunch time menu to starving, hard done by, office employees who don't have time to leave the office at lunch, or are too lazy. But, have you ever wondered what happens to all the food that doesn't get sold in the morning? Well, it is returned to the depot and all the sandwiches, salads, pasta's, pasties, samosas, cakes and pastries are sold for 65p, that's it! Never more, never less, 65p for everything that one hour previously was selling for £3 +. So the next time you are in the area with only coppers to your name then dig this place out, they wont have anything to give you until 1pm but then its like a little world of goodness with endless choices of food surrounding you!
The spicy chicken pasta is to die for, and is genuinely very spicy, many of my old colleagues enjoyed the peri peri chicken and the stilton and grape salad, and I can honestly say that the chocolate cake is fabulously chocolatey! And of course, just 65p! woooo! For once, you don't have to be ripped off in London! read more
