Super tasty quality food, I noticed that on the menu it even tells you which farm the meat came from, or where the ice cream was made etc. The Greek Lamb and the Gammon are both brilliant. The portions are huge and I'm always left with enough food for another meal but save room for the Holly Bush sundae because you wont ever have a such a selection of tasty locally made ice cream :) The prices are great too, last time I went it was around 30quid for the 2 of us.

A MUCH better price than the hotels right next to the airport, yet this hotel/pub is just minutes from the hotel. The room was large and the bathroom was so nice and updated! The cow art in the hallways was sooooo cute! I loved loved it! The pub service could have been more attentive, but we were a little impatient as we wanted to repack for the flight the next day. The food was good! My husband enjoyed his flatbread pizza. My gammon steak was incredibly salty, like way too salty. Free parking. Easy check in/out Good WiFi We are back in the UK in August and we're already booking our overnight stay at this hotel. We're looking forward to it. That said it was my mother in laws birthday and I knew they were eating there in the evening with friends. I called up the pub to see if I could order a surprise birthday cake and pay over the phone. Although they said that they did not make birthday cakes they were happy to go to the local bakery and get me one I called up on the night not really expecting that they had as I had not been asked to pay anything. To my delight they had got the cake and I ordered a bottle of reasonably priced champagne at the same time. They couldn't have been more helpful even to the point of calling me back to say that my mother in law had almost been in tears when they gave her the champagne and told them my message. When the time for the cake came, they had added candles and the whole restaurant sang happy birthday. All in all they were great and made my mother in laws birthday really special!

The pub itself is cosy and welcoming, full of character and very friendly, warm staff. Many little nooks where you can enjoy your meal and conversation with low level music in the background. It was a cold day so we were glad tat there were (many gas) open hearths around. It is located right next door to a ancient but very well tended church (St. Ostwald's).
