We arranged childcare and drove almost an hour to attend, only to find out the only thing you can paint is hats, which is not clearly stated when booking. I don't wear hats, and my husband said he never would have booked it if that had been obvious. When I asked about it, the host insisted it was clearly listed, which made my husband look like he had done something wrong. After leaving, I checked the website again and it still does not clearly say hats are the only option. For $85 per person, the value just isn't there. The photos show far more embellishments and supplies than what is actually provided. The hats themselves look like inexpensive bulk items. Alcohol is advertised as included. We understood that meant limited options since they can't legally sell alcohol, but the selection was even worse than expected. We arrived 10 minutes early to use the restroom and were still told we needed to leave 15 minutes early -- even though we were the only people there at 7pm on a Friday night. I called afterward to give honest feedback and instead of addressing the concerns, the host asked if I was "okay," which felt dismissive. At this price point, customers deserve a much clearer description of what they are actually paying for when booking online... The host/couple that were own/worked there were nice enough during the time slot. Things were still awkward and I didn't want to make my husband feel bad for his effort into planning this date night. I'm not one to write reviews but I'm really annoyed.

These people took it as a slight on their profession, began sharing their anger on social media until it went viral, and a virtual mob was born. Board & Brush doesn't deserve any negative comments that were posted as a result of that campaign, nor do they deserve the threatened boycott.

When we got there, the woman gave us ponchos that were for a small child. The entire point of splatter painting is to get messy, however, we weren't expecting child sized ponchos so getting messy wasn't in the cards unless we wanted a ton of paint all over our clothes. The "canvas" was flat, not even 8.5x11. The woman who grabbed my painting at the end said it was hard to find it because it blended in with the wall (probably because the "canvas" was so tiny and from the dollar store. The floor in the room was extremely sticky. We had asked for shoe covering, but the girl said the shoe covering would come off our shoes because of how sticky the floor was. The flooring in the room completely ruined all of our shoes. To describe the bottom of our shoes is like having a bunch of dried bubble gum stuck to the bottom of our shoes and you can't get it off. The experience itself wasn't worth the money paid. Since we couldn't get messy without ruining our clothes, we were done within 2 minutes of being in the room. When calling the shop the next morning to explain our experience, the manager told me the owner would call me back and never did. The other couple we went with also emailed and the owner didn't care to rectify the issues. Don't waste your money here. Wouldn't ever come back here unless the owner wants to make things right.

It was great when we got there we were the only ones and Tara was super helpful. An hour later two other parties came in to do a regular paint night which was fun because we all go to see what each other was doing. This is such a great space, I had been here 4 years ago for a friend's 21st birthday and both times all the staff is super great and helpful . They also have a wide variety of items to craft or paint! Their prices are fairly reasonable and it's a fun time with friends (or family)!

I booked it on the 12 th of August and the event was on the 19 th, with two more emails with no answers then called with not being able to leave a message. Finally heard from them today the day before the class saying they are not Ada compliant and that they canceled the class saying Don't book with them if you have any disabilities or hard time walking. It is sad that there are still business that are not Ada compliant it's 2025 do better
