At The Running PTs in Wake Forest, we utilize a hands on approach with extensive manual therapy including joint mobilization, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), dry needling, cupping, myofascial release, active soft tissue release, and soft tissue mobilization. We also specialize in functional exercise prescription, biomechanics, gait training and run form re-education, taping, and orthotics (over the counter recommendations and custom orthotics fabrication) when needed. We treat all lower extremity injuries as well as specialize in lower extremity post-operative rehabilitation and running injuries.
Meet the Business Owner: Lee W.
Lee is passionate about his work as a physical therapist in Wake Forest, NC, and uses a unique and specialized approach to treating lower extremity injuries. His goals are to get runners pain free as quickly as possible. He does this by using manual therapy and dry needling techniques, and to assess and treat the root of the injury allowing complete healing and full rehabilitation, and to reduce the risk of further injury. Lee uses a multimodal approach to evaluating and treating running athletes. This includes a comprehensive evaluation and formalized gait assessment. In addition, he incorporates a variety of skilled manual therapy techniques, dry needling, functional exercise, and biomechanical running re-education programs. Each program is personalized to each individual patient based on their personal presentation and history.
