Nice nonprofit that local community theater. It's runs by volunteers to help give the voice to ones that can by showing films that are educational. they also show all the movies that are very interesting films that you don't get to see anymore. Very affordable and plenty of snacks to purchase and the attendant was very polite and friendly. read more

When visiting Missoula, I kept driving past this theater on the way to my Airbnb and was deeply curious about it. On Friday night, my family and I went to see Weapons. The tickets are well priced and their popcorn is organic! I loved that they serve their popcorn in reusable metal bowls. They also have a variety of seasonings you can use like curry, nutritional yeast, chili flakes and more. Our theater was pretty full, but that made it that much more enjoyable. It felt very community based, we all laughed at the funny parts together and I felt like I was having a movie night with everyone. I also enjoyed that it wasn't too loud, which chain theaters have made a horrible habit of being. The ads were also locally sponsored. There was also an acknowledgment before the movie started about how they know they are on native land. Overall, an amazing experience. Next time I'm in Missoula I WILL be visiting (as long as there are movies I'd like to see!) read more

The Roxy rules. Best popcorn - salt, butter, brewer's yeast, black pepper, other toppings. Wonderful workers. Beverage selection that includes local brews and tea. Fabulous selections of films - new ones, classics, themes. The new seats are comfortable and complete with cup holders. Old movie posters hang on the walls. Favorite plastic in wallet is Roxy membership card. (Free popcorn!) Thank you for weathering the pandemic. Can't wait to try the outdoor theater! read more

I accidentally bought tickets at this theater when trying to see a movie at The Roxie in San Francisco. I didn't realize until past show time and they still refunded me fully. It was super kind of them so I had to leave a great review. I'll definitely be visiting if I'm ever in Missoula! read more

Very friendly staff here. Love that they had the Girl Scouts in the lobby selling cookies and baked goods. Very community oriented. The only downsides for me is the beverages are all carbonated unless you want hot tea. They were nice enough to give me a big glass for ice water though! read more

The Roxy Theater is a treasure and a public good. Please support them as much as you can. Without their presence, we are only left with the Carmike commercial outlet and that sucks in more ways than I can count. If its been a while since you went out to a movie rather than watching at home or on a device, you might be surprised how good it feels to watch on a larger screen with others. Lots of ways to get involved. You can just go and pay for a single show. They have punchcards. Or you can be come a member or a supporter. Membership is cheap and you get free popcorn once a month as a nice special extra. I cannot think of a better buy local choice. Without us going, they can not keep going. Incredibly rude "manager" (quotes because I can't believe this guy was given this job) was so nasty that I will never support this theater as long as he (John) is there. When a friend couldn't find two seats together, he not only refused to refund the tickets, he totally gaslighted her, insulted her, and got pretty personal. Any other movie theater would instantly refund the ticket price. There's no obvious sign showing a no-refund policy, so he was just being nasty. Good job with customer service, dude. You've lost at least five customers because of this, and for what? The moron finally gave her passes to come back, and she would have used them if the guy hadn't been such a troll. Now they're worthless since she and her boyfriend won't come back. If they can afford to alienate customers over such a simple, ordinary transaction, then I'm sure they must sell out every show. read more

Love this place, and glad it's here! Went to a fun Bollywood screening, where they had samosas and pakoras from the Masala food cart for sale - nice touch. Multiple kinds of gluten free beer, organic popcorn, and good prices on the concessions. Inventive and interesting programming - go in for a visit soon! read more
