Not even one star. They are so rude, unhelpful, and very discriminatory towards certain customers. They MADE me put my phone away, they would not help my client put the dress on or latch it! I brought my wedding dress in with my mom to find shoes and a veil that matched the dress. There were two empty bridal fitting rooms plus more in the back but I was not allowed to use a room to try my dress on and see how the veil laid because I did not purchase it from Rose Tree. I had been to multiple other dress shops that not only allowed me to try my dress on but insisted on it because the veil looks different with the dress on then just laying the veil against the dress. Rose Tree is making a mistake by turning away customers when having unused resources available. I could understand prioritizing someone looking at a dress over someone just looking at a $400 veil but this was not the case. The owner is disregarding the fact that they sell other items than wedding dresses including evening gowns and prom dresses. I am extremely disappointed and will never purchase something from here after the treatment I received. I highly recommend Nandel's and Lara's Bridal for any bridal/prom needs. read more

Let me tell you about my awful experiences with them! 1st time- I had a prom dress on layaway and they call me the week of prom and tell me that my dress is in (though it was suppose to already have been on there) so after going there and demanding they tell me what happened. They told me that someone came in and wanted that exact dress in the same size, so they just sold mine and ordered me a new one. Which doesn't sound like a big deal but one thing they did to get business is, if you buy from them they record what dresses have been bought for which schools so the same dress doesn't show up at your same dance. And BAM the person who bought my dress, was at MY prom! 2nd time, my sister had a wedding dress she was paying for and her wedding was called off and one of the consultants told her she would be able to get the money back that she had paid minus a stocking fee and when she went to take care of it, that same consultant told her she never said that (and my sister had it in writing) so the manager said it wasn't in that consultants handwriting so my sister had to pay for the dress and take it home if it had been worn or not. No alterations had been done or anything! And 3rd when my sister got married and we ordered bridesmaid dresses (though I was NOT happy about it) I flew from Oklahoma to be there to be measured, not to mentioned that I had just had a baby (he was 4 months old) and when my dress arrives they had put me down as a size 4 not 14 and then told me it was my fault that the dress didn't fit! So they had to shorten the dress on the bottom to make a panel so that the dress would fit me because it came in the week of the wedding! So I had an off center zipper because they screwed up! It is one of the worse businesses I have EVER dealt with! I will NEVER go there if it were the only place to buy dresses!! Awful! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. BRIDES ESPECIALLY NOTE: I haven't had one friend not come crying to me after their experience with these people! They are dishonest, rude, and just plain unethical. I know of a bride who blogged about the dress she bought from the store. She tried on a size 10 and needed a size 0 so, Rose Tree said they would order it for her--and of course charged extra for ordering and shipping and such. After she recieved it, late of course, it was clear that these people altered the size 10 to a size 0. It looked awful--you cannot alter a 10 dress to a 0! They literally scratched off the '1' in front of the '0' on the tag and--GET THIS--they CUT OFF the '1' from the tag in the dress! THEY CUT THE TAG TO TRICK HER! Need I say more? This is a horrible business. They lied to me, they were rude to my bridesmaids, and every dress that was altered there was completely trashed. Some dresses were only half altered when we got them back....meaning only the right side! They didnt order my wedding dress like what was implied....they altered it down more than 4 sizes...which should never be done. We did not ask them to fix these problems because it was evident their seamstress did not know what she was doing and we didn't have anymore time to waste. These people almost ruined my wedding. Please dont let them ruin yours. Its very odd how the one review shown for this business is positive. There are many more reviews posted that are not easily shown here. They do have a large selection of items, I'll give them that, but I just think its funny that there is only 1 good review for Rose Tree and several that can't be seen that are listed as "reviews that are not currently recommended". I bought my wedding dress at Rose Tree Boutique in Ceredo, WV. Worst experience ever!! The sales ladies were super helpful while I was shopping. Told me that the little-over-two-months-away wedding date couldn't order my dress and get it in time. I bought off the rack and needed to have it altered ( was too big). The dress was basically ruined with the alterations! The back of the dress was totally changed, I had to go back three times to get it wearable.- time off work and an hours drive-The train was filthy and even though they promised to clean it, I had to ask several times to get it done and the sales lady at one point got rude with me for asking. BUT, they had my money and would not refund it due to alterations. - so I was stuck. It required me to make three or four trips to try and pick it up and had to keep getting it repaired, cleaned, re-altered, etc! Don't trust your special day to these people! They make false promises, lie, are rude, and don't know what they are doing. Go to a more professional establishment...especially when spending a $1,000 on a wedding dress!!! read more

The service I received at the RoseTree was fabulous UNTIL I paid for my dress! I was told not to come back for my first fitting until 2 months before my wedding. I wasn't told it would be aprox 2 weeks between each of the alterations and there were 3 because things were not done correctly which means I didn't get my dress until a week before the wedding and with alot of stress! Alterations were not done correctly the first time, things that were supposed to be done the 2nd time were skipped so one week before my wedding I am on my way to get my dress hoping that it is finally correct! There were still issues and it wasn't 100% correct but living and hour and a half away I needed to take my dress home. I tried to keep my calm and let the manager know how I felt as to which she called the police on me. Just what a girl wants one week before her wedding!! The police were very nice and advised me it wasn't their first time there, that had happened several times before! I am not a bridezilla by any means but could't believe how I was treated! I would not recommend anyone buy anything from this snobby little store where the service is terrible!!! read more

they have beautiful gowns but the workers are not very down to earth at all. they think theyre better and if you look at an expensive gown they make sure to tell you that its very expensive before theyll even let you try it on! they do not like you touching the dresses. they have to get them for you and zip them for you. i dont like that. i know how to zip myself up without busting the zipper. read more

My experiences here have never been particularly pleasant, from the rude associates to the lack of knowledge and customer service. I finally ended our roller coaster relationship when a bridesmaid dress I ordered for an out of town wedding left me in tears. I paid for the dress to be rush ordered so I would have plenty of time to get alterations done. When it finally came in (2 weeks after they told me it'd be in) I drove 45 mins to pick up a dress that was in the wrong size. Instead of an 8 I was ordered an 18- not even close! I immediately asked to speak to a supervisor because I couldn't leave with that dress. She told me they would gladly do alterations but i would still have to pay for them because it wasn't their fault the wrong dress came in. I left in tears and called a seamstress I trusted and immediately drove to her shop. She had to completely gut the dress and start from scratch. I spent $400 on alterations on a $200. When I called rose tree to ask for a refund to compensate that, the associate told me that wouldn't be possible but they could have given me a discount if I did it in house. Honestly i wouldn't have given those jerks another penny after what they put me through! After telling several friends, seems I'm not the only one who's received botched orders and been treated poorly. Shame on you rose tree! You are supposed to specialize in life events and making memorable moments but all you really do is cause unnecessary stress! read more

If I could give this store negative stars I would! No one should ever purchase anything from this store ever, unless you want to be lied to, taken advantage of, and stolen from. The first time I went into the rose tree looking for a wedding dress I was by myself and knew exactly what dress I wanted, although the two sisters who helped me were helpful this was only the beginning to a long battle. Upon purchasing my wedding dress I was told my dress needed to be "special ordered" although the display dress I tried on was the same size that I needed. I was told that it would take months for my dress to arrive, six weeks later I was notified that my dress was here, not only was the dress the SAME display dress I had tried on weeks earlier, I also was notified from my bank around the same time that there was fraudulent activity going on concerning my bank account. Turns out the Rose Tree had taken payments out of my account without my permission. In fact I had signed a contract specifying that I did not want payments automatically taken out of my account. This was quite alarming and eventually my bank was did get THAT money back. However after such a dispute I decided I did not want to be involved with that store anymore. When I went back with my aunt to ask for a copy of my contract, the owner, Debbie, informed e that they keep all their forms and paperwork in a warehouse in Ohio. This sounded sketchy but we still asked for the number tot he warehouse so we could ask for the contract to be mailed to me. You will never believe what happened! We called the number while sitting int he Rose Tree and to our surprise the front desk phone started ringing and the woman upfront answered! So not only did the owner, Debbie lie to us about keeping their contracts in some warehouse in Ohio but she gave us a false number that was actually a number to the store we were standing in! The dress was also in a plain plastic see through bag that was not from a company or had any tags on it, the dress also had the tags cut out of the dress, there was no designer name or anything, and of course as many of you could guess the dress had concealer on it from being tried on in the store because it was of course the display dress that had been there all along. Debbie the owner was quite loud and rude the whole time and told my Aunt that we were on camera and being recorded. Needless to say that was my Rose Tree experience and then some...still waiting for money back/store credit on the wedding dress that was never mine. read more
