Anyway, someone recommended this salon to me and I haven't looked back. Vilma, the owner, is an excellent colourist and stylist and I've never yet been disappointed. She is also really lovely and the salon has a relaxed, friendly vibe. Stylish rather than trendy I would say, and not trying too hard to be cool like some others do. The prices are very reasonable and there are always great deals on. My two sisters also get their hair done there and one of them lives in Deptford so it must be good for her to travel all that way!

I love my hair every time. It's a really natural shiny blonde (if I do say so myself!). She even made the blonde to brown thing work without the awful murky in-between stage which is pretty impressive! I also get my nails done with TLC Nails and Beauty in the upstairs salon which is great. I never thought my nails could look nice until I went there. Anyway, I can't recommend this place enough, so if you're sick of paying for overpriced chain salons like Headmasters give Shine a try.

There's 8 threading stations but I only see the use half the capacity! When you come in you need to pluck a ticket out of the machine like you would normally for the meat counters in some supermarkets. And while you are waiting there are some seats but you gotta be pretty lucky to get one as they are always taken. The actually service I received wasn't that great as I had to point out areas where the lady had missed and after 5 minutes it did not look like there was any difference made. Sorry to say I did not have the patience to tell the lady what she needed to do and she was not swing about her work not looking even or defining my eye brows. After I came back from a weeks walking holiday in the Spanish mountains I went for the De-Stress Muscle Release (1hr 15 mins, £75.00), where I was pumelled back into shape. It was a strange combination of heavenly and painful, but I came out with restored joints. They also do a wide range of back and neck massages as well as anti-cellulite treatments, facials (the Renew Rose Facial is very popular) and pregnancy treatments. She was not pulling the hair properly and when I said it is painful, she said now I know! When I told her she left some hair, she said it's too late and when I asked her for scissors, she just handed it to me . I requested her to do it as it was not practical for me to do it myself as I was unable to see hair properly, she coldly said she won't do it, what if she cut my skin!! My whole skin was left sticky as they don't clean. When I was dressing up, she didn't leave the room and told me I have to rush.. how ill mannered is that... Never ever go there.. it's cheap but not even worth a penny.
