A place to establish your faith in God. I came because I was lead no one ask me. I saw the good and bad sides of the people but they are all people they are not God. I came because of God. The lead is Jesus alone. I stayed because I was again lead to stay. I may not see why but I know my purpose is to witness and to worship. This place shaped me to be strong and be more in relationship with my God. I admit I was a great pretender back then to catch up with people. But can't hide from the sight of God. This church helped me in my worst and in my good. Thank you to the leaders and the pastors.

Welcome to the Rock! Anyone that names their church after Alcatraz or Dwayne Johnson deserves a good rating. Having said that, the one time I did go here, I didn't agree with most of what was being said on stage, and they did try to sound a little inclusive but on the other hand I felt it was a little bit borderline belittling and know-it-all, and I don't know why humans profess to be so all-knowing, especially when it comes to ghost stories and fables from hundreds of years ago. Still impressive though. Visually and location-wise especially. It's right on the main strip of Queens Boulevard and is a gorgeous so I liked it for those reasons.

I'm not religious but have been volunteering here to learn about sound boards and live sound. The people are friendly enough but the organization is poorly managed. The place is forever under construction so you get the feel that you're squatters or something. As far as money goes every religion is going to ask you for all the cash in your pocket so...yeah

The Rock Church is truly a blessing. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the presence of God. The worship is powerful, the Word is solid, and the atmosphere is filled with love, faith, and truth. The pastors preach straight from the Bible, and you leave every service feeling encouraged, challenged, and closer to Jesus. The community is real -- not just friendly, but family. People genuinely care and pray for one another. Whether you're going through something or just want to grow spiritually, this is the place to be. I've seen my walk with Christ deepen so much since coming here. If you're searching for a church that stands on the Word and welcomes you with open arms, The Rock Church is it. God is truly moving here. read more

Its a safe space truly . Regardless of what ever came up about some of the personal life of the leadership . I always felt safe here , i always felt like i could be my self here . This was my first introduction to going to church . The people i met here were generally great people , who i could grab a bite to eat with or ride on the train home with . There was no weird energy here like there is at some other churches i been to . The lounge area was relaxing and a perfect place to come down after worshiping . I dont understand the negativity regarding this place . I feel a church is its people , and the people here by and large have good hearts . I was a casual church goer , so i cant speak for people who are deeply involved in ministry and the various cliques that spring up in "Churchy" circles . Any place where there is large groups of people will create highschool like cliques , and in some respects drama as well . As long as you stay away from that and focus on yourself and your relationship with god , and the good people you will be ok. DONT FOCUS ON THE CLIQUES FOCUS ON GOD read more

While driving by I noticed 10am service. While waiting I googled info about the church, the best information I found was by actually attending t he service. Worship music started the service. Beautiful voices shared music to prepare our hearts to worship and talk to God. True, two offerings were taken during the service. One before the main preaching and after but I didn't feel that I had to give. I guess I would have understood it more to make sure they gave folks who had to leave early or came in late a chance to give. The service did offer a bible based message. It was about Ester's story. We where all encouraged to fast and pray for three days. (God is the same today as in the Bible) They have an English service at 10 and Spanish service at 12. It appears the church's attendance is struggling like many others after Covid. My prayer is that they will thrive again as they have a great foundation looking at it from a first impression. Where every you worship may God bless you with his Word. read more

"Available 24/7" according to the website but the church did not respond to multiple emails. I stopped by and left my info and was not given a call. I called and got told to hold on just one moment before getting hung up on and never called back. I reached out through social media. This is over weeks. Did I do something wrong? Did the church reach its occupancy limit on helping people? read more

What ever you do, please do not step one foot into this church. I would give them a zero if I could. Attended for about three and a half years and being there for that long can open your eyes to so many things. If you are a non believer or one who is just starting to believe in God, it is an okay place to start. The lights, the prayers, the catchy songs will drag you right in and make sure you feel at home. But please be careful because these pastors manipulate leaders and followers. They will scold you for not going out to evangelize, they will threaten to kick you out the church if you do something that is not of favor to them. Pastors are to be humble and treat the people who come to their church as family and nothing less. These pastors are constantly walked around with "security" and people wait on massive lines to just speak with them as if they're some kind of royalty. It's exaggerative and ridiculous. I've known many people who have left due to their manipulation. Save yourself from the trouble and peace of mind. Seek an actual church to call home. read more

Not really. The clergy can care less about you but you can find a few supporters. I never went back but thank God I know who is Jesus and it's so important to be like him. Most so called churches DO NOT BEHAVE LIKE CHRIST but I pray that someday they will. read more

This place is the most welcoming, non-judgmental church I've ever been to. They welcome people of all types and backgrounds--and I've seen them be patient with people most churches would shut the door on. The passion for God is infectious and literally changed my whole perspective about "church". It's very casual and real and takes away the mysticism behind the Bible and spiritual practices. More power to this place, they're doing something I've never witnessed before in my whole life! People always hate what they aren't familiar with and looking at some of these comments are just disgusting and disrespectful to people's spirituality. Shameful! To each his own read more

So a whole year has passed by since my last review and I guess to can say I have a more clear idea on its flaws and perks, no church is perfect and neither are its members no matter how long you've been one. No one can deny their outstanding ability to bring people to their gatherings. Keeping them however still could use much work. I only see people come more enthusiastically whenever there's free food or entertainment. The fact was in a few months I've seen a small handful of newcomers actually commit (better than nothing) and yet, people I've seen around a lot just vanish. No trace, nothing. I've heard tale of drama within church (no surprise) and to cover ones own mistakes, the use the Lords message to justify them, which shows plenty. None of that ever effected me, My advice is, you can give up on church. But don't give up on God, it's not his fault. It's like getting lost in communication and ignorance. Don't use God as an Excuse. read more

I attended this organization for 6 years. I was curious about God and was desperate for some type of community. Those who know little about God or who have never been to a church don't know that the way things are done in this place are completely wrong. Only those who have been part of this place can really understand how manipulative, controlling, obsessive and power hungry the leaders are. Before you know it, you're there every day until 11pm or 1am. You're hanging on every word that is said and if you for a second question what is said - you're gaslighted or shamed. I couldn't begin to say the amount of shame and oppression that I experienced here. This is another organization that uses the word of God for their own gain. God doesn't need robots, he doesn't need rock churches all over the world, and he doesn't need more surillos either. If this review can stop someone from attending then I know it was worth posting. read more

This church is amazing, I've seen it impact so many people's life's and see the real truth and way. Taking in people with open arms just a godly atmosphere. People that were at the brink of commuting suicide have their lives radically changed by the love of their god and with the help of the leadership at the rock. Money the last thing on their minds, it's a love offering to god, for the people in this house greed isn't present under this roof. The preaching are amazing. They've showed me how to he faithful, understand grace, and most of all to LOVE something I couldn't find in any other facility. Theres something here I've never seen before, and instead of listening to all these critics(good and bad) you should come and see it for yourself. read more

I have visited this church 2x. Both times I didn't see anyone on the stage open a bible or preach. No sermon, just a lot of talking and sharing of personal experiences. The praise singing was nice, the re-enactment of the cross was fantastic and I loved the dancers. I would just like to see the bible used. I've noticed that the members seem quite friendly, but they are very aggressive with visitors. Let me explain this....When I went last year, as I was about to leave, a woman came up & greeted me. She was overly friendly and wanted to know if I enjoyed service, if I was coming back, could she get my contact info etc. I politely told her no, but she just kept pushing, it was really ridiculous because I had to escape her. Well, this year, wasn't any different. This time it was some guy that came up to me, as I was leaving. He started asking me the same questions like the girl from last year but this time I didn't even stop. This guy follows me all the way to the exit, talking to my back, to try to get me to fill out a visitor card. The church clearly has a lot of people in attendance but yet they seem so desperate to get more. There's no reason to harass the visitors. If someone is not interested, then leave them alone. If someone wants to join or come back, then they will on their own. I like the church, but the members are too pushy for me. read more

I used to be a regular at The Rock Church and my experience differs quite a bit from Sarah H.'s. I did find 99% of the people here to be extremely friendly and sincere. The lone 1% percent being Pastor Marnie. Each week, I'd smile, say hello, and she'd look through me like I was invisible. The other ladies, on the other hand, would make eye-contact, chat, smile, and greet me by name each Sunday. How they'd all remembered my name with all of the other people who attend that church simply amazed me. When I was a bit overwhelmed with college and being a single parent, one the ladies had even offered to come by my home and help clean for me! Another aspect that blew me away about this church is that it's come-as-you-are. This was my first (and only) experience with a church where you can wear whatever. Dress up, dress down...no judgements passed or side glances given. Just smiles, hugs and the warmest of greetings. All that matters to them is that you're there and that you receive God's word. As for their wanting money... Some churches pass the plate around once, and some, twice. At this church, it's twice. When it was time to collect, Pastor Marnie would take the mike. The only thing that would make me cringe is when she'd say that the more you give, the greater your reward in Heaven. Then again, every church I've ever been to runs that line. They'd ask for 10% of your earnings (or more) as would any other church. I'd give a couple of dollars here and there because, my attitude was they're getting money a whole congregation of people. I only have one source of income: my job. And, with my pay, I ain't exactly threatening anyone's spot on the Forbes list. Unlike other churches I've attended, you do not have to march to the front of the church to give your tithings and offerings. They come to each row and pass the plate from one side to the other. It's all very organized...which is great considering the size of this church and its congregation. As for the construction... Yeah, that seems to be ongoing, lol. As for lights and cameras... Who wants to be in a darkened church? And, each week, I'd see them use the cameras to record thier sermons for the purpose of broadcasting online for those who cannot physically attend. Also in my experiences with this church, there was quite a bit of talk about Jesus and God, as there should be. Another thing that I might add is that due to the large number of non-english speaking members, their sermons are bi-lingual. The 9am service is in english, and the 11am service is in english and spanish. read more

The Rock Church and all of its churches (Florida, Queens, Manhattan, Jersey, Long Island and more to come very soon)... Can be described as: ' - 2 Samuel 23:3-4 (NKJV) "The anointing that He has given us can cause a miraculous change in other people. It's just like the miracle of giving birth, of having a life growing inside of you. When we take a broken life and we mend it - nurturing, building, restoring it - that's a miracle! And God has given that miraculous power to each and every one of us! It's time for us to get up and understand the power that God has given us. We can... bring life to people. But we don't just bring life, we bring life more abundantly, just like Jesus did! He changed the spirit as He walked, and that's our job too. So as we walk through this world we need to change every life that we encounter, because God has caused us to encounter each of those lives for a purpose. That purpose is change" ... Quoted from a blog written by Pastor Marnie. From the day I walked through the doors at The Rock Church I felt accepted and loved. Very similar to the construction of the place, I was chipping away at the edges and broken inside. But there was a love that was felt within the walls of The Rock from everyone even the leaders and especially Pastor Marnie that didn't allow me to break away anymore. I always found it fascinating, even till this day, Pastor Marnie with, her own children, and several churches to steward over knows my name and my story. And I believe it's because I made a decision to do more than just attend a Sunday service but serve and help in bringing the Church through it's construction and into it's full restoration. The way they helped me. I always felt it was prophetic for the church to be under construction because it mirrored the people who walked through the doors. And now that the church is nearing the end of construction I truly believe we are all echoing the saying, "So goes the church so goes your life." The testimonies are out of this world. From people being healed of diseases, to job offers with major companies, to families being restored. This is what we do at The Rock. We are the church THAT ACCEPTS EVERYONE. The church THAT ECHOS THE BOOK OF ACTS. The church that will stay up to the wee hours of the morning coming up with more innovative ways as to how to change the world one community at a time. That's why this is my home. If you have to choose a church home. Look at what they're doing. I mean really look at what they're doing... Ask questions, seek to be involve, and help; Not only will everyone have a chance to get to know you but you will be able to get to know and understand the vision as well. Because like God says, "Ye shall know them by their fruit.". www.therockchurches.com The Rock Manhattan-Facebook read more

0 stars. I went to a few events and once to a "service". A mess. People come and go when they want to. There's no set time, the "head pastors" which I had the unpleasant experience of sitting through are very political in their "sermons", very judge mental, they don't preach, just sit on stage and tout their personal opinions about anything for that matter. The place looked like a middle school play without a director. I hear them telling everyone they come in contact with, INCLUDING MYSELF who they knew for all of a day that "God wants to use me" (like I didn't already know this, I'm NON-CULT Christian)..that's not the best part, what does God want to use me for? TO OPEN UP A CHURCH FOR THEM! Ya don't say?! They literally tell everyone that. These kids are forced to "Evangelize" even if it affects their time at work or daily lives that support their lively hood. You ask pastors to pray for you and it's scripted or they gotta ask each other how to pray? (What the heck?) I felt this place was a cult, and after learning more about their "rules"with these kids, they pray on kids from the hood or need to feel a sense of belonging, give them community, and then control their EVERYTHING that they do. Who they speak to, who they date, where they can go etc. STAY AWAY FROM THE CULT. Please take heed Lizabeth's review. I've never met her, but she nailed it. I hope these kids and adults get out soon. Shame on this church for being FALSE PROPHETS that God said would be. read more

This place is great. I don't know why there are any bad reviews. I have always avoided going to churches because its so boring but this one is completely different. Nobody judges you for who you are or what you believe in. The pastors are very supportive and take the time to talk and say hello to you. Also, they take the offering just like any other church does so I don't know why some people on here complain about that. The services are great, its mostly music and dancing and the preaching is short and quick. Of course no church is perfect but some people just don't like this one because they like the old traditional churches where all the people are fast asleep and are trying to get out of there as fast as they can. read more

I am not a religious person, in fact, I have quite a few thoughts on religion and religious institutions but that's neither here nor there and would make me no different than a persistent bible thumper. I was not yet a teen when I saw my beloved movie theatre converted into an organization with a name as terrible and horrifically uncreative as "The Rock Church". For nearly ten years, I walked by it on my way home from the station and for ten years, the location looks as if a tornado hit it. Apparently, the church will forever be under construction and when i see through the glass doors all the toddlers playing in the lobby stripped of floors or painted walls, i know there are numerous safety hazards in motion. The thing that bothers me the most are the recruiters the church sends out, usually to the surrounding mall or park. Constantly Ive been stopped and pressured into giving fake phone numbers to "the messengers of God", I have noticed that they've gotten younger and younger. The other day, three ten year olds asked me to come back to church and pray with them. I was once involved in a cult like situation where we were sent out to the public and spread the word and recruit others..the result? I spent thousands of dollars on that org. I was impressed with the events like acting workshops and talent shows they had so i partook once and immediately felt uncomfortable when i was being guilted into donating for their apparent fifty year construction period at their "free" show. If i were to be approached by these ppl again, i'd sooner become a mormon -.- read more

The Rock Churches are family of churches reaching across seven continents. By God's grace, this army of believers are heeding the Great Commission to open a church in every town, every city, and every country all over the world. The mission is to act as the early church did; to obey the heavenly vision and save multitudes. This is the paramount mission of the church. As it says in the book of Acts, "...to the uttermost parts of the earth." By God's grace, we're on our way. We are a ROCK.

I was part of this church for 6 yrs, led ministry, etc. I left officially a yr ago. I waited a yr to write & share why. I didn't leave bcuz of Offense towards ppl. But Warning of church structure as a whole (UNHEALTHY). CONTROLLED BY LEGALISM & HERESY. The Holy spirit is not in the rock churches. Teachings of (Doctrinal ERROR) and Numerology of 3, 7,12. The Rock Adapted Cesar Castellano theology&Doctrine. This man, along with this church believe the "Only Mission" is to "Evangelize":Recruit ppl, Disciple (Groom) Them, and to LIVE OUT UR CHRISTIAN LIFE is by leading in a cell format of "12"s. At the rock, You're to have life with your Cell group in order to recieve a Spiritual Cover'n". Make "COVENANT" w/ them, complete faithfulness to church vision & idol leadership. Like The Heavy Shepard Movement: You're assigned a leader, that leader becomes your spiritual guide mother/ father "they" look after your walk, and you're "accountable to them". CULT like submission to Authority. You're expected to "Recruit" daily, give reports of your work. How many souls you "Saved", internationally, locally, and how many lighthouses you open. Everything in this church is BY YOUR WORKS! The pastors would use bible verses to pressure u. You're not free to teach any outside Christian books for cell group, unless approved by leadership/ which is No. It's only the 12 lighthouse lessons already paved out for u to be groomed in, or walk w/ God series. They have this RockAMilli campaign for the month of October. The Rock church Gospel is: Convert repeat "Prayer of Salvation" they r saved/guarantee eternity before God's eyes. (Biblically Unsound) W/out the convert having to live a repented life. They abuse the verse Matthew 28:16, Pastor's would say "Your Salvation depends on saving others, when you're @ the gate God wants to see the many u brought with you". So it's literally a Race of boasting " towards how many souls you're saving".They don't share the gospel. They don't preach on Repent, Faith, and living a life in Purity, Yeilding to The Holy Spirit. They focus on "Grab ur blessing", "God wants u blessed","You have the keys to hell" "Power&Authority" Miracles, Signs,& Wonders", Evangelize & SERVE to get ur 12, if you want ur family saved, a job,or God to hear u. Jesus will know u by ur fruit/ to them amount of ppl u recruiting. Not producing spiritual fruit. They are about "Professing Christ" but no standard to live by God's word. Where "Ministry" is about passing out bread, open'n other churches in different cities, hand out flyer to invite. Continuing theSame vision, same preaching every yr, same repetitive outline in 17 yrs of the church. NO GROWTH. GOD WONT LET YOU GROW, YOU FORGOT YOUR FIRST LOVE (JESUS)! #REPENT1st Nothing is biblical in this church. Lydia would say "she is the voice of the Shepard that listening to outside pastors/ churches is not allowed as it would cause confusion".They used parts of the bible to justify some things of Christ. Its mainly more about there interpretation of the word. Never in true context of scripture!! Way off! March 2016 after i spent a yr ? Church, & desiring the Holy Spirit becuz its not taught @ The Rock. God spoke to me w/ an impression inside ("Im removing you from among them, they will reject you but know they have rejected me 1st"). Contrary to what pastors/leaders say "Ppl leave our church cuz of offense", dust your feet off when they don't agree to our vision". Perhaps it's because you are not preaching the Truth. Pastors Michael, Lydia, Miriam& Vicky brainwash the congregants to think if YOU rebuke them/ church, Blood would be on ur hands, ur cursed if u touch God's anointed, they taught more on this subject then the gospel. When will u stand for the truth, read God's word for yourself, and hold your pastors accountable to the word of God like in Acts 17:11!? We're asked to test the spirit for a reason (1 John 4:1). The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth (John 16:12-15). read more

Zero stars. I have been a member of this church for over 8 years and I have nothing to say besides that this is an amazing cult! Top tier cult of all cults! If you would like to be brainwashed and manipulated and gaslighted and abused (physically and mentally), then this is the place to be :) They start off as the nicest people and then when you continuously go, they start to brainwash and you won't even notice because you will be blinded. If you don't do as they say they threaten you, so you have no choice. If you don't contribute tithe or be a servant to them, they do not need you and then shun you out until you no longer go there. They will reject you, but know that they have rejected Jesus first. Obsessed with youth because the youth is easier to manipulate. The pastors think they are royalty and treat the people like slaves- not even acknowledging them. All the Pastor care about is growing their church to pay for their $5 million dollar mansion in long island. Do not think for a second that they care about you. Their teachings are twisted in order to get you to do what the leaders want. Pastors are not real pastors, they just give themselves the title without even going to school. Pastor Marnie disowned her eldest son which no one in the church is allowed to speak of his name. They act as if he does not exist. What kind of "pastor" is this? "God wants to use you" they tell everyone who steps foot into the "church". They do not even have real relationship with God. They do not know who Jesus is. They blab about how much they love Jesus when their hearts are so far from Him. "If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."- James 1:26-27 These religious hypocrites' religion is more than worthless. They have already received their reward by bragging about how good they are and how much they read the Bible. Be smart and use discernment when present in this place or when they are telling you to do something. This is not a church, it is a business. The only reason they have people attending is because they all are brainwashed. They say that God is only in the Rock Church, which is not true. God is with you always no matter where you go. read more

Real evangelism involves preaching the gospel and speaking to others about Jesus Christ. The Rock Church does not evangelize. Instead, they stop people on the street and speak to them about The Rock Church. They speak about the events that the church holds and the activities that the church organizes. Then they persuade these people to attend The Rock Church and will attempt to obtain their names and cell phone numbers. The purpose of obtaining their names and cell phone numbers is in order to call them and continue to persuade them to attend The Rock Church. That is not evangelism. The Rock Church is a social club. It is not building God's Kingdom. Instead, it is building its own kingdom. I think that there is a lot to be said about a Pastor who records themselves supposedly speaking in tongues and then posts it on social media. I believe that person to be a fraud and to be trying to take advantage of those who are vulnerable. I knew that something was not right with The Rock Church when I began to attend. I stayed because I was lonely and desperately wanted friends. Consequently, I was used by the church. From Sunrise to Sunset, I was taking care of the children of one of the Pastors. When I was not doing that, I was cleaning the bathrooms inside The Rock Church or I was trying to bring more people into the church. The Rock Church would keep track of the names and cell phone numbers that I had gathered when attempting to bring others to the church. Less than 10 was not favorable and the church would be upset. If the amount of contacts that I had gathered was high, I would be told that I was doing God's will and that the day that I would go before God I would be able to present to him all that I had done for him. Literally, all of my time was devoted to The Rock Church. To make matters worse, I was pursued by one of the Church Leaders who had several young children with his wife. The wife also led ministry. I told one of the Pastors and the response was that I had misunderstood what happened. That couple went on to have another child even though it was well known that the husband was unfaithful to his wife. Slowly but surely, the friendships that I had formed within The Rock Church came to an end because I was unable to meet the demands of the church. When I was no longer of use to The Rock Church, they quickly disposed of me. read more

This is a message for the parents. PARENTS!! beware of this people, they focus on the youth because they are easy to manipulate. Just because your children go to a church doesn't mean they are learning good things. I attended many years in my youth and was one of many youth who felt guilty for going to college since the leaders expect you to be there 24/7. If you don't they will use psychological tactics, of ignoring you making you feel like an outcast. Being that I come from a troubled household I really wanted to belong somewhere, but every time I attended I left feeling broken. The "pastors" talk to you as long as you do what they say. We were sent to evangelize people when the temperature was 30 degrees outside. I was asked to clean the church in winter with NO HEAT. It was so cold in there!! I was used and disposed of the church when I started to disagree with them. Parents don't let them take over your children because they will try! I would not even give this church one star. The Rock Church is trying to fill its church with new members but they can't even keep their current members. Throughout the years that I was at The Rock Church, I saw many people leave. When they would leave, the church's response would always be that the person who left had done wrong, that said person was not walking with Christ or said person had gone back to the flesh. The church never looked at itself and thought that maybe the reason why the person left was because of something that had to do with the church. The goal of this church is not to bring people to Christ. It is to bring people to The Rock Church. Yes, they are always evangelizing and during evangelism the church members can not dare encourage the public to attend church. Instead, they are to persuade the public to attend The Rock Church. As a member of The Rock Church, you must tithe, you must give your first fruits and you must give your offering. What this church is not telling you is that Pastor Marnie and Bishop Ray live in a house in Long Island that is worth 5 millions dollars and their home is fully paid for. Where do you think that they got the money to buy their house? Oh, and did you know that most of the members of The Rock Church live in a room that they have to pay rent for, that many of the members of The Rock Church are undocumented and work of the books but they are expected to give the little money that they have to The Rock Church. This church has no respect for other religions. When they evangelize, they try to get Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs and other religions to leave their religion and attend The Rock Church. But, if any of these religions were to share their beliefs with them, they would take offense. The individuals that attend this church have no respect for Christ. Females go to this church wearing Daisy Dukes, showing their abdomen, showing their breast, wearing see through clothing and dancing provocatively during worship. read more

This place is a cult. Stay far away! If you want to manipulated and controlled and made to feel guilty for not evangelizing and serving around the clock then feel free to go. They do not care about their sheep and give awful advice that has destroyed people's lives. The pastors manipulate, gaslight, humiliate, control the people that go there. "Bishop" will be back I'm sure as the scandal of him sleeping with women all over the congregation blows over. Pastors remaining condone the bishop's behavior and are puppets for him. For those still there ask yourself why most of the pastors left. Why are you allowing yourself to be manipulated and controlled? Why can't you question anything the leadership does? Why did most of the satellite churches leave? There are so many long time leaders and pastors that made the wise decision to take their lives back and move on from this corrupt place. The Surillos are millionaires with (tax exempt) properties in New York and Florida that they have congregants working in for decades for free. They buy mansions and say they are churches so they are tax free. All along they tell people working for free in their buildings that they are serving God while making themselves richer and richer. If you have teenage and 20 something children attending this church I would suggest you have them stay away. Especially your daughters. This place needs to close down for good. It is awful what is going on here. I'm so blessed to have moved on and have seen the blessings of God rain down since leaving this so called "church." Walk away better yet run if you are attending. If you plan on attending look at the reviews on here and Google and make an informed decision! read more

CULT STAY AWAY! They do not teach anything from the bible. People here are hypocrites. Collect 2 offerings but you can't ask where your money is going. Everything is donated and leaders are not accountable to anyone. If you down with the clique, you can do pretty much anything. Their goal is to brainwash the youth because they know that any adult who has a brain would stay away. I've been to this church and the one in Kissimmee Florida and believe me, what a waste of 3 years. This organization is spiritually dead and bears rotten fruit. Men rule this church in Elmhurst NY and the church in Florida is run by Women, who downright talk down MEN. If you don't believe me test the waters and see, I want to bless you and save from heartache. You are worthy in God's Eyes and Don't need to attend this man made facility to be at Peace. If you are skeptical, get involve and get to be known by a name by name basis and see how they will want you to Serve Them and say it's for God (Slavery) Question them and see how they will avoid you with a ten feet pole and have Ushers watch you to shut you up. They have brainwashing meeting (services) pretty much everyday, and their mission is to have a church in every country, every nation on this planet but yet can't fill the seats in any of their facilities including their 5000 seat arena in FL (count how many people during any service). They will prophesy to you so you can give you false hope and continue to serve them but do the opposite then they say you've lost you anointing (where is that scriptural). If I were you I will listen to all negative reviews as the positive ones are the brainwashed church goers. read more

So my first service was last Sunday. It was quite an experience. I mean i have been out of church for a while because, just work and things that keep me distracted. But i have to say i was passing by and i heard the music and i felt like i needed to go in. It was one of those feelings you get when you know you have to do something before you chicken yourself out of it. This was one of those moments. I went in with my sweats and all. The people at the door were very welcoming and very friendly. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The service was great. The Pastor that was preaching really spoke to my soul. Everything he was saying was what i needed to hear. At the end of service i had 2 people come over to me and welcome me. Asked me if i needed prayer and i said yes. I will never turn down a prayer. Im not shy when it comes to that because, a brother always need prayers. You know what im saying. Long story short, I felt like i made the right choice for once in a long time about my life. Of course i are not perfect and i make mistakes, but this choice that i made to walk into the church, was not a mistake. These people were just so kind to me and i needed that. At that moment i needed that. These people are not faking the Jesus thing, they truly are loving people who display the love of Christ. Its not for show, its real. read more

Let me shed some light on this church. for one these people swear that they are preaching God's word, but in reality they are leading the people in the wrong way. They pretend to be so nice and sweet and in the begining you feel as if you are in an utopian environment. However, their true colors begin to shine as the star of David. it is as if an invasion of the body snatchers is taken place in this so called place of worship. they have the tendency to cover up their wrongs by stating "God said". Some of these people especially those in high places do not know anything about God and the most high is going to light them up. True God believers do not kick people out of church Erica, Victoria, and others. I personally feel most of these women have psychological problems and a therapist do not even need the DSm5 to diagnoses these demons! Eating disorders, major depressive symptoms, bipolar, and so much more! I can't wait so see the truth come out people wake up and do not let any one deserve you ! God is truly coming and the devil is taking over the churches . too bad i was too smart for you with a true prophetic spirt form the true and real God! read more

The Pastors and Church Leaders at The Rock Church approach teenagers at Queens Center Mall asking for their names and cell phone numbers. They should not do that because teenagers are minors and their parent's have not consented to them giving their names and cell phone numbers to individuals that they do not know. Be careful with The Rock Church. A church should be a place of comfort where Pastors and Church Leaders care about the individuals who attend. The Pastors and Church Leaders at The Rock Church do not care about their church members. Many of the individuals who used to attend The Rock Church left after feeling used and heartbroken. Church members are made to evangelize when they do not want too. They are made to lead ministry and to expand cell groups when they do not want too. When church members refuse to follow the orders that The Rock Church placed on them, they are shunned. Despite people dying from the Corona Virus, The Rock Church continues to fill its church with people. It is best that you stay away from The Rock Church and not put yourself and others at risk. read more

3 days agoNEW Noah got Tara pregnant; then use the money he got from the church to get her an abortion.(human sacrifice) The church is most definitely a grooming cult. A lot of prominent people began leaving the beginning of November because of sexual allegation by the hands of the bishop. I advise a lot of the victims come out about their abuse not only for the Safety and Security of themselves, but also the Safety and Security of others. Where's Bruce and Glenn?? Where's their congregation?? Where's Pastor Sandra and Laura?? hours ago Do not go to this place. Don't even bring anybody, especially young girls, to this place. The bishop has been outed as a child groomer, and his family, the Surillo family, have been trying to cover it up. This place has other issues as well such as; -Homophobia -Transphobia -Sexism -Antisemitism -Islamophobia -Xenophobia -Suspicious ties with the NYPD -Exploiting the lower class so they can pay for their big ass mansion in Long Island The Queens community need to pressure this disgusting "church" to leave for good!! read more

Pastor Marnie has often spoken about seeing God but I don't believe that she was telling the truth because the bible clearly says that, "No one has seen God and has lived." I believe that she intentionally and purposely lied. At The Rock Church, you will see people speaking in tongues but they are just pretending to be speaking in tongues. You will see people falling backwards or falling down because supposedly they were overcome by the holy spirit. Again, this is another lie. I had a Pastor place her hand over my head and she forcefully pushed my head inward. I lost balanced and fell and she said that I was overtaken by the holy spirit. Again, it was a lie and I knew it. I asked a Church Leader how The Rock Church decides who will become a pastor. The Church Leader stated that Bishop Ray gets a vision. Again, this is another lie. If you want to be a Pastor at The Rock Church, you can become one by expanding the church. It has nothing to do with Bishop Ray getting a vision. My experience at The Rock Church was one of deceptions and lies. read more

Terrible place. Borderline cult. At first everything seems nice, the music the people if you are a new immigrant or a person in need of friends you feel at home. Then it all starts, they play brainwashing and psychological games is you don't do as they say. They don't want you to go to school, date or have a life they don't know about. You must do as the pastor says no questions asked, if you do then you are not spiritual enough and you get scolded or ignored. You must date who they want you to date, and marry who they tell you to marry. People with severe mental problems are ignored and told that "someone has to pray for them". There is not heat or AC not even for the children. The leaders could care less about you or your issues all they want is your money. Nepotism, only their 12 children can maintain certain roles within the church. The self proclaimed "bishop" keeps marrying people without having a proper license, that is also the case for the "pastors". I attended for almost 8 years I deeply regret setting a foot in that place. read more

I attended this church for almost 7 years before I left. During that time I became very close to leadership in particular the Surillos. Now that I am an older person I see that they use manipulative tactics such as love bombing, bread crumbling, and ostracising to control people. This place by definition is a cult. Healthy relationships are not fostered here. Within the leadership system, there are lies and sexual immorality. The leaders take the holy word of God and prostitute it for their gain. Please remember that they do not see you as a person but rather a pawn; you are the ones paying for their lavish lifestyle as Marnie and Ray (self-proclaimed pastors) claim that their 12 freaking kids are too good to have regular jobs like the rest of us. They live inside a mansion in Long Island while you struggle to pay for your bills and your next meal. God set you free and gave you freewill. Do not surrender that right to a bunch of charlatans who want to control you and shape you into what is more convenient for their church business. read more

HI! My experience with The Rock Church has been one of pure unconditional love, support, guidance, joy, and just all great things. I have been going for the past 14 years. Since i was a teenager. This church has saved my life! The people, the Pastors and Leaders have been my family when i had no family. Being a young teen with no parents and no one to care for you, but your own self can be pretty scary and lonely. But God lead me to this church at a time when i felt lost, worthless, and helpless. It was a time when i was trying to find myself in all the wrong places, all the wrong people and things. I would be dead if God did plant me with such beautiful and loving people like those in The Rock Church. To me this is home!! And if there are people out there that feel alone and need a friend or family, they will be that for you. There are no judgements, there are no questions, there is only the love of Jesus Christ at this church. Its so important to have a relationship with Jesus! They taught me how to find a best friend in Him. read more

Pay close attention to the reviews of The Rock Church that express issues of concern because those reviews are telling the truth. When I was a member of The Rock Church, I and my fellow cell group members were told by a church and cell group leader that the church was not interested in members who were not going to expand the church and who were not going to help the church grow. We were told that the church was only interested in members who were going to bring more people to the church. In order for you to be a member of The Rock Church, you must bring a substantial number of new people to the church. If you can't do that, then The Rock Church does not want you. read more

This is seriously the worst church I have ever been in. The Pastors here are nothing but money-hungry false speaking people who do the most vile and un-christianlike things ever. I cant believe this place is a church but BE WARNED...these people are fake and only care about HOW MUCH you can contribute to their coffers. So I advise all people to search for a real church that doesnt only look GOOD on the outside but that is also real on the inside. I believe that no church is perfect, but I can definitely say that this one is just wrong and twisted. read more

From the moment I walked in the door, I felt like family. I came for the first time on a Sunday about 3 years ago and when I heard the message, I knew that this was the church for me.
