We spent two wonderful days riding the riesling trail between Clare and Auburn. The trails are excellent fun, through some of the most beautiful country you will see. The fact that they run through the various vineyards where you can sample and buy some of the best wines in the country is a big bonus . The trail has a number of loops that you can ride if the longer distances are too challenging. As my wife and I had our two children along (9yrs and 13yrs)this was the best option for us. I would love the opportunity to do the full trail. As the main trail makes use of the old railway corridor it is a good, solid ride with a well maintained and sign posted track. We brought along our own bikes but there are a number of places that hire bikes. Cogwebs cafe in Auburn is well equipped and even has a drop of service, very friendly people and highly recommended, we had lunch there. There are plenty of places to stay and lots of other things to do in the area when you're not riding too. read more
