We wanted to get out for NY, somewhere close to home but with a good view. The Reserve at Bear Creek did not disappoint. We stayed at the Summit House for 3 nights. The cabin is beautiful! It also boasts of a beautiful view of the lake. We noticed that the seals on the windows do not work too well, since we got some water from the condensation. It did not bother us, other than our toddler played with that water. The kitchen is indeed fully equipped with your basic spices, pots, pans etc. A few tips: It does not hurt to take an AWD. The road was rough. Do plan your meals! It does take 35 min to go to town to eat, or get groceries. Overall, we recommend it especially when you want a staycation with a great view! read more
