When you walk in, you are welcomed by a cozy little shop area with herbs, goodies, books, etc., (every time I'm here, I always end up grabbing something, ESPECIALLY the Dram drinks!) Every time I've come in, I've been welcomed warmly and I've felt comfortable and not judged here. Truly a safe space. Now, for the good stuff: I've been coming to Emma here for facials during my recent pregnancy. While I enjoy some upkeep on my skin, I'm really looking for relaxation during services like this and Emma is truly one of the only service providers I've encountered so far that has given me the space to really relax. We chat minimally (but genuinely!) and when she's doing her facial, I feel like I'm safe enough to shut my brain off and really melt into the service. She's knowledgeable about which products to reach for and has generally just been great to come to. She is dual certified in massage and I will be back soon for my first full blown massage with her - I already know it's going to be a great experience :) Haven wellness is WONDERFUL and if you're looking to support local, you should check out haven!

The store space is small but it is filled with great amazing products! Lots of the products I have used and continue to use such as Rowe Casa, Anima Mundi herbs and tonics, and some great books and gemstones. Jenny the Lead Spa Coordinator was so very helpful. She answered all my questions as I was trying to figure out which products to use and also helped me get a discount! She also took us on a tour of the spa and explained all the services that they offer. This spa offers many different services from massage to red light therapy, and cold plunge and sauna. The spa looks beautiful, and very professional and comfortable. The practitioners all look very knowledgeable! We are excited to try some services and to continue buying products that I don't have to order online!

At the end while paying $63 for a terrible massage, the woman working the front desk said my masseuse can't speak English so she couldn't understand me. Ok, I guess that's my fault.... Overall, I paid for an hour long deep tissue massage and the result was something my boyfriend would do for free while trying to be purposefully bad so he didn't have to do it again. This was a waste of money and time. Oh ps- I read another review about how there's no privacy and I can confirm they left the door to the room I was in open while I was totally topless. Lovely! As per usual the office was clean, warm and inviting in atmosphere. This was my second therapeutic massage with Cameron, who is new, coming to our community from the Denver, Colorado area, where she is from and had become certified. I knew my first experience with her had been outstanding. She greeted my warmly, and I had prepped well for the massage. She did the customary assessment interview of areas for possible focus, with me giving her a few, but also I've learned that just as a doctor's 'symtoms + blood-test' will indicate an appropriate medical approach, the information that her fingertips on my body would generate would give much guidance on how to apply the beautiful arsenal of therapy that the assembled techniques of massage therapy employ. What does she need from me? Only a little 'common sense' cooperation, while I can take it all in with a relaxed, sweet surrender of my stresses and tensions melting away. The soft, relaxing music she chose was especially happening to be to my tastes. Even if I attempted, I don't think I could have counted all the different approaches she used, one flowing into the next. While even a 90 minute therapeutic massage can't 'last forever', one does carry its benefits forward from the experience, in the hours, days and weeks going forward. I really, honestly believe that many more people than realize it could benefit greatly from this, truly, entirely real therapy from Cameron at Lifestyles Massage & Bodyworks.
