I was there yesterday and as the snow flies outside this morning I'll take time to note my annoyance at those who run this place. Their greed makes them impervious to sensibility, constructive criticism and public health.
Firstly, very few shops are open in here now as the drive to suppress Wu flu is in overdrive. Interestingly, last March here, we couldn't much see what all the fuss was over, but now it's hit very hard here and killing far too many people.
Despite all the efforts at suppressing Wu flu they have maintained parking charges for most of the pandemic and still do - causing customers to touch a machine on entry and touch a machine to pay the ticket price.
Worse still there's some and certainly not enough disabled parking along the riverside but they've locked the doors forcing disabled drivers to enter and pay at their car park.
Disgusting really.
The supermarkets too have locked their trolleys, so you have to put a £1 coin in and out at the end. But all this touching is avoidable.
I understand that when trolleys are free to use they are often just abandoned and not returned to their bays, causing a nuisance for the stores, but car park charging is just plain greed.
The only surprise for me is that those running this place are impervious to customer criticism and their greed trumps the health and wellbeing of their customers. Emetic actually. read more
