I'm going to let you in on a little secret that I keep close to my heart. I (mostly) hate…read moreshopping. La Rue Marche is one of the few exceptions to the rule where I could wander around a store for hours. And in this case, I have over the years. Their clothes are adorable and inspire me to step outside of my fashion comfort zone, comfortably. They have many vintage pieces also have a collection of items that all flow very well together. In my mind I would like to copy and paste everything on hangers into my own closet. I'd be a very happy girl. But it doesn't stop there! They have really unique jewelry, accessories, home goods and novelty items too. I've bought a pendant, hair bows and a candle here to show the range of what's offered. They've recently remodeled which led me to believe that this was a new store with new ownership, but I was pleased to see that it was the same, just re-vamped and freshened up. If you ever find yourself in Hudson and want to get lost in a dreamy world of gorgeous clothes, accessories, shoes and things for your home, come here and wander until your heart's content.

They do have some vintage around the store and a ton of very fun and one of a kind jewelry items. You literally could spend a great deal of time in here as so much to take in. I believe they often host special events to coordinate with the community and season.

Abigail Page Antique Emporium - Active Abigail P listing on FB, no one can tell me anything when I showed up with 400 bucks! Super disorganized and passive aggressive.

Unfortunately, I have to knock these folks down a few stars - 2 stars!…read more Abigail Page managed to REALLY tick me off. I'm super disappointed. I've been watching a pair of 1951 Reglor Lamps advertised in Facebook Marketplace, showing a photo of them in the front window. I happened to be meeting a friend for lunch in Hudson so I made sure to bring $400 cash and to stop in after our meal. 1. Apparently, the lamps are no longer in the store. But the 2 staff running the shop couldn't tell me anything about them. Where are they? Why are they still listed in Facebook? 2. The worst part of the interaction was I got the "fake polite" treatment. Friendly but not really friendly and more passive aggressive, if you know what I mean. I'm used to that treatment in Minnesota. It seems to be part of our cultural DNA. But I'm surprised to encounter it in Wisconsin. 3. The staff running the shop weren't able to access the store listing on Facebook. Why? 4. When I got home, I sent a direct message to the store on Facebook from their listing to ask about the lamps. Are they gone? Why is there still an active listing? 5. It's been 8 days. The listing is still up. No one has answered my direct message on Facebook. All of this stuff is ridiculous. Everyone knows that is takes 30 seconds to respond to a message on Facebook. All of these negative vibes could have been avoided if someone simply responded to me, apologized, promised to do better next time, and to request that I please visit again. I'd still be a customer. As it is now, I'll never walk through the front door again. So...I'm feeling pretty negative about Abigail Page. I guess they're okay if you wander in off the street, buy something off a shelf, and walk out with your item. But if you see something on-line, buyer beware. And keep an eye out for the smarmy attitudes. - Maxx

Amazing art from (mostly) local artists - stop in and check it out!…read more Wow, this space is packed with beautiful stuff from talented people!!! Words can't do it justice. You have to checkout my photos. Or even better, you should stop in and look in person. I'm calling the gallery itself 5 stars. The artwork is incredible and the displays are very nice. Everything is laid out nicely. I'm calling the customer service 2 or 3 stars. We were both pretty disappointed. I'm averaging the entire experience out to 4 stars. The manager or the "DIRECTOR" was a combination of disinterested, stand-off-ish, unfriendly, and snobby. She was far more interested in assembling a new display with another staffer than talking to us. She couldn't be bothered to greet us or to help us or to discover our interests, guide us, or use any professional customer service skill set whatsoever. Bummer. Everything has a price on it, right? Everything is for sale, right? I hunted her down a few times to ask questions but I felt like I was bothering her. And the other person never said a word to us. Oh, well. We walked out without opening our wallets. This is the kind of experience I expect from snobby people in Downtown Minneapolis. One of the big reasons I drive all the way to Hudson, Wisconsin is to avoid this type of thing and to deal with real, down to earth, friendly people. Ooops, not here though! I'm glad I stopped in but I probably won't be back to this one unless I see a different person working inside. And if I buy something, I'll track down the individual artist on social media and buy it directly from them. -Daddy Maxx Retro

I'll admit I haven't met or gotten to know the new owners and staff due to the pandemic, though I look forward to doing so. So appreciative of the new owners taking on a new business at such a difficult and keeping an amazing gallery in Hudson! The person who I do know at Seasons is Rachel. This is where I met her and now consider her an a friend. She has helped me find the perfect gifts and art for years! I'm not a huge buyer of incredibly expensive art. But she has sent art home for me to try in my space, helped me pick out frames for prints, even come out and helped me hang art. Thank goodness for her continuity there! And her wonderful shows! They are an incredible amount of work to set and video. I will be back more as things normalize!
