I originally made my first appointment to help with mid back pain that wouldn't quit. I requested an appointment through their site and was promptly contacted directly to set up an appointment. A few things stand out to me about Dr. Sinawi that may be able to sum up my experience: flexible, friendly, persistent and creative. Flexible: I work in Detroit but live in RO and I can't tell you how many times i've called and said I'd be late due to traffic. Every time, I get an immediate and friendly reply from Meghan the receptionist (who is super friendly and personable herself) letting me know if they can make it work. 9.9/10 they are able to fit me in. They advise I may have to wait a little but I swear i've never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. I appreciate that flexibility with all that competes for my time. Dr. Sinawi seems to understand that life happens and his priority is getting you the care you need. Added bonus, they recently added online scheduling that you can do from your phone or computer! Could it get any easier than that!? Friendly: No one wants to go to a Chiropractor that's a total butt or stuck up about the practice... at least I don't. Dr. Sinawi is a fun guy who is relatable and makes it easy to communicate with. I truly enjoy my visits from a human level. Good people give good experiences. This is also important to me because it creates an environment where I feel comfortable telling from if something did or didn't work. He is open to feedback and does not take it personal. If you do see him, be honest with him about what is working and not. That friendly demeanor isn't just a front, he will actually listen. Persistent and Creative: I'm going to lump these two together since I think they are two skills that complement Dr. Sinawi in his approach. When my first few sessions didn't get the results we were looking for right away he tried all kinds of different techniques until we found what worked for me. He keeps great notes to reference back to and always remember what did and did not work. At one point earlier this year I had my TMJ flare up and kick me in the face so bad I was going crossed eyed from the pain. Dr. Sinawi helped me with adjustments to my jaw and over time, we found relief from the adjustments that I just wasn't getting from the Dentist. I'd also like to add that Dr. Sinawi is open and even encourages complementary treatments. For example, Chiropractic and Massage Therapy, when it will be effective. Through his recommendation I started seeing a message therapist and the combination is really working for me. I see this as another example of how he has his patients best interest in mind. Bonus: He is also open late on Tuesday and Thursday which super helps us folks who are working the ol' 9-5.

Office is secure, parking is ample (shared lot with 3 other businesses so that can fluctuate) very clean. Staff and patients are masked and I witnessed a lot of cleaning of surfaces, hands and equipment during my time there (great job). I was there on December the 8th at 3pm. Noted because I want the staff working during that's time to get proper recognition. I did not get their names but the ladies working the front desk, Check out and the one that escorted me to my room were absolutely amazing. You don't find friendly relatable office staff anymore. Everyone is so over worked or abused by customers that service slips. These women set the entire tone for my first experience with this office. I hope they are compensated well because THEY created an excellent first impression for this business. Dr Cecil got right to work on my raggedy frame. I heard cracks and pops in areas I didn't think could crack! After all the twisting, turning, stretching, popping.. I felt like we should hug when he was done . In all seriousness I was close to tears not because he hurt me. It was a rush of relief to finally find something/someone that relieves my pain. He was direct about after care and needing more than one visit. While my visit was an hour long it surely did not seem like it at all. When I first visited, I was skeptical and scared as I thought of chiropractic care as "neck cracking". Well the first person I spoke to was pleasant, informative and accommodating. Initial visit includes a history dating back to birth. X-rays and a review of the findings will follow. I left with a better understanding of how important the spine is and what causes back pain. Adjustments take less than 5 minutes and I've never had a wait to receive one. (Plus!) There are 2 massage therapists there at a time and they are women. What I like is that they are open 6 days and have late evening appointments available. Most insurances cover adjustments and massage therapy, which is helpful as seeing a chiropractor is a long term relationship (think regularly scheduled hair appt. for ladies and the ritualistic weekly football game). A go to spot if you are looking for back/neck pain relief or just regular adjustments to avoid problems.

I was trying everything to get back my mobility... stretches, cbd oil, back roller, mobility ball, ice, heat, pain cream, rest, but nothing was working and I was in tears from desperation. It can be a frightening feeling when your freedom of movement is slipping away before your eyes. I didn't feel comfortable driving the car and could barely bend down at all. I had to do something or cancel the party, so I found Dr. Burr's reviews here. I'm not really a chiropractor person, at least I wasn't, but I liked that they relied on teaching exercise treatment therapies as well as adjustments, because my other experiences with chiropractic seemed like they were a repeating RX for more and more visits. I wanted a solution and things I could learn to do for myself. I also liked that he had a relationship with Applied Fitness Solutions, (AFS) where I have a membership and who I trust. Mitch was so compassionate and nice on the phone, and is so nice to work with. God bless them, they got me in the same day and I was able to start implementing the exercises Dr. Burr showed me right away. He explained my issues so well and was very personable but so clearly a professional. He really understood where I was at and knew what to do. I also purchased a lumbar pillow that helped train my spine to return to where it needed to be. I appreciated that they didn't push the purchase of this hard, and showed me how I could also use a towel, but I have to say the pillow does the job so perfectly, is comfortable, and doesn't slip that I'm really glad I bought it. It definitely made a huge difference in my recovery. It turned car trips into therapy. Two days later my pain had so improved!! I had a follow-up visit this day and Dr. Burr expertly assessed my progress and told me what to do to take my recovery further. I never imagined I could feel this better this quickly. I did the exercises frequently and they strengthened me and corrected the problem. Dr. Burr did give a great upper back adjustment as well. I'm still amazed at how fast I improved. Dr. Burr said that early treatment was key to bouncing back so quickly. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I just need a few more visits... not perpetual visits! I'm functioning and mostly comfortable. I'm so happy to share this as my success story! The party is tomorrow and it's totally happening, and I'll be able to enjoy it fully! My husband was amazed as well when he saw how miserable I was (my family had to do so much for me!) and he is going to see Dr. Burr for some back pain he has been struggling with for a while. He wasn't a chiropractor person either lol. If you have pain and are looking for real lasting help, I can't recommend Dr. Burr highly enough.
