All my concerns were totally heard out, and I never felt forced or pressured to do anything I felt uncomfortable with. I was given clear expectations and multiple options at every step of the exam to make sure I was never surprised or uncomfortable. By the end of my visit, I had answers about my issues as well as a clear, manageable plan for my care going forward and backups in case Plan A didn't work out. CWHC is a haven for people who have had barriers or negative experiences with health care, and they are doing amazing work to provide care to people. I wish every health care institution was like CWHC, because they are providing the kind of dignifying, respectful, and accessible health care that everyone deserves.

The exam was explained every step of the way so there were no surprises; something I really appreciated. I have since returned for another appointment to address a concern I was having, and everyone there was extremely helpful with all of my questions and endless phone calls. I'm so glad to have a reliable healthcare provider, especially with all of the uncertainty of the times we are in. When I expressed concern that I was potentially losing my health insurance after being furloughed, they explained their sliding scale model and assured me to never cancel an appointment for the reason of not being able to afford it, because they will always work the patients to make it work.
