Mr. Marshall, that does the upholstery work, has done several of my antique pieces and his workmanship is great. He pays attention to detail and the character of the piece shows through. The most recent items that I took to The Upholstery Shop were two antique wicker rockers that belonged my great grandmother and a small iron table that was painted gold a number of years ago. (I have posted before and after pictures) These items date back to the late 1800's, and have been passed down through my grandmother and mother, who, at some point, painted them brown over the original white. They have been in storage for a number of years, and I wanted to use them, but they were pretty wobbly and unsteady. Mr. Marshall made them sturdy and recovered them in the fabric that I provided and they turned out great and they are very useable. I told them when I took the little gold table to them that I really didn't know what could be done with it but Mr. Marshall worked his magic and I love my little iron table. Joel also freshened up my family pedestal table and chairs and made them look like new. "Thank you" to Joel and his crew for a job well done - I would definitely recommend!!

They responded back the same day and set up a time to come look at the house and give us a quote. He came out on Thursday and said he would call us on Friday with a quote. Wife and I had agreed we were going to use them, just wait and hear back. Friday came and went with no call. I waited until Saturday and nothing. I emailed the guy that came out to our house. Nothing. I then emailed the owner. Nothing. On Sunday, our moving company called and I explained I had not heard back from packers. He said he would call them. A few hours later, the owner responded with an email asking if we ever heard from the worker that came to our house. The owner explained he was out of town with a sick family member. I responded back that I understood completely but would love to get the quote back and get busy since our move was happening in a couple of days. No response again, from anyone. So we decided at last minute to pack our house and get it ready in two days! Communication has been horrible. The owner seems like a good guy and I understand he has a sick family member. Original quote was no more than half a day (which I thought was a stretch). They charge by the hour. They arrived at the storage unit at 10:00am. SEVEN HOURS LATER I was presented the invoice that included the time to go get a flat fixed, the hour lunch time, AND the time they spent trying to get the trailer out of the front yard after getting stuck. One star is a stretch....but the two young men that loaded and unload were nice guys. AND they called when they were on their way and were on time. ONLY positives.
