A REALISTIC INSIDE PERSPECTIVE OF WORKING FOR THE PREMIER GROUP. I worked with the Premier Group for almost a year and would have to say they are one of the best companies I have ever worked for. If it weren't for having to relocate for my husbands job, I would still be working here! Management is fantastic and the work is interesting and so fun. This company took a chance on me, having no professional experience in sales or recruiting prior and pushed me to grow in ways I didn't think I could! They are focused on not only helping tradespeople find and keep jobs, but also their internal staff. They are truly invested in everyone that works with and for them. I love this company and would work here again if they ever had remote positions or found myself close enough to their offices again. I am not too sure what Jane is talking about, but all I can say from my experience is that they are the reason I am the recruiter I am today! AN INSIDE PERSPECTIVE OF WHAT ACTUALLY GOES ON AT THE PREMIER GROUP: I worked here as a recruiter and unfortunately it was one of the worst professional experiences I have ever experienced. By my first day I was concerned. I applied for an Administrative Assistant Job listing and that was not at all what I was doing or was expected to do. When I asked my Co-Worker why the job listing was "Administrative Assistant" if that's not what the job entailed, She said "we changed the job title to that to get more attention from applicants" So they completely lied about the job listing and the responsibilities of the job. If you work there you will be CONSTANTLY lying to pretty much everyone you talk to. I often had to lie to people saying that we had work when we didn't. And was told to make up fake jobs and once we are ready to put tradesmen to work after the interview we had to lie and say things such as "the position was filled" or "that client is no longer looking for man power" At least 60% of the job is lying. I was told to lie or "brush people off" or "make something up" on a daily basis. The fact that I was constantly told to lie by management is just sad. It's not a honest company at all. If you value honesty...run the other way. I was constantly judged there. And I constantly witnessed staff members judging other people as well. The second the boss would leave the room there would often be gossip. Including gossip about other co workers when they weren't around or employees in other office's in the company. You will always be micromanaged there. I felt like I was ALWAYS put down or judged when I made small mistakes even though I was still trying to learn how to do the job (considering it wasn't the job I applied for) And rarely felt acknowledged for the hard work I put in or my improvements and successes. They also lie to their employees about how much PTO they have acquired because they don't want to have to pay it to their employees because it makes their sales report lower which means less commission and ultimately less money in their pockets. Those are hours that their employees worked hard for and rightfully earned... Majorly messed up. The behavior of all my coworkers was VERY different depending on if the boss was around us or not. Also when it comes to recruiters they will ONLY hire women. Which is completely sexist. They had one male recruiter for a short time. But didn't like him. So now they stick to only women. I was also also discriminated against because of my age. And was often not taken seriously. And was almost always approached in a condescending way. There were a couple times I felt like my co-workers were lying about me to boss and were making false accusations. But my very worst experience was this: My boss went out of town to help a different office in the company and my Co-worker went out of her way to stay after late after business hours to GO THROUGH MY WORK PHONE. Which is already an invasion of privacy and down right malicious. She wrote down a list of numbers to give to my boss and falsely accused me of "not calling those numbers" When my boss got back into town she took me downstairs to show me the list and didn't even give me the chance to explain or listen to anything I had to say. Nor did she go through the list to check for herself if I had actually called any of those numbers. And I was kicked out of the office and left without a job within minutes. And was not given any opportunity to express my opinions or truths. The boss favorites the other women - her friends that work there. And basically what they say goes. SO if they don't like you.. you're screwed. The Field Guys at the premier group are cool. And were always honest and hard working in the office and showed me a lot of kindness. There were also times when my female co-workers did help me learn and were kind to me. But those times were few and far in between. I was really excited to be part of the team when I first got hired. Unfortunately I was really let down by the premier group. And feel like I wasted my time and energy working for this company. And I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone.
