The Practice T used to be one of my favorite spots as a kid. Whether it was to mini-golf or drive some balls, I always had a blast.
My boyfriend and I decided to visit TPT last night for a late-night round of mini-golf. I was excited to see if any changes were done and hopefully capture a little bit of the charm that gave me so many awesome memories as a child.
I can't say I was disappointed, but I wasn't really impressed either. The mini-golf course is exactly the same, just a little worn down. You can tell some of the greens have been replaced, but no new obstacles or tricks. It was sort of depressing seeing the awesome water stream that used to run throughout the course all dried up. It's summer! It shouldn't be hard to fill a concrete pond up with water. I also thought it was sort of dark. I guess too many lights would attract bugs, but I sort of need to see my ball when playing.
The course itself is still pretty fun. What I like most is how long each hole is. Even though $8 is kind of steep, you definitely get a long game.
There is also a driving range, par three course and pro-shop/snack stand.
It was nice checking the course out again, but I don't see myself rushing to go back anytime soon. My advice would be to clean the course up, add some fun new challenges and revamp! read more
