All of the instructors at the school are great, but especially Master Richard. He lives the tenets of Tae Kwon Do and sets an excellent example. He commands the room better than any coach or teacher I have ever seen, and the kids really like him. Plus, his ability to get every kid's name right every time is impressive. I mess up my own kids' names all the time. My son has now progressed to competition in forms and sparring, and his self-confidence is much improved. I highly recommend joining the studio if/when space opens off the waiting list (3-6 months, last I knew).

As a native-born Korean, my expectations for Taekwondo are very high and Master Richard has exceeded every one of them for both of our children. Thank you, Master Richard, and everyone at All Rise!

The uniform is now worthless cuz it says Kukido on the back in huge letters so she can't even wear that anywhere else. They never went through the motions step by step and mixed the kids all up where some were already green belts and even had them wear helmets to spar/fight. The place is also kinda of filthy with stuff all over the mat so my daughter kept on picking at stuff that got stuck on her foot and there is a lot of dust everywhere. What a bad experience to taekwondo. Btw, no one here is korean or speaks proper korean but they yell out stuff in korean in a weird accent.

Everything about his TKD training has improved beyond what I could imagine in the short time he's been training there. And it's all because of the coaching and teaching techniques the Salim's have implemented. They make training interesting for the students. In addition to traditional TKD training, the Salim's take students on trail runs, beach runs, track runs to mix things up. And while they train hard, they have created an environment where the students feel like family. The Salim's have treated my son with nothing but kindness since day one, and they welcomed him with open arms. I would whole-heartedly recommend Salim's TKD if you are considering martial arts for your child.

Before finding STK, my daughter use to do Soo Bak Do and Karate. She hated any form of physical exercise, so I would force her to get off her ipad and take her to do these activities. Every Tuesday night on our nightly walks, we would see the Salim Tae Kwon Do Van and their students training at Aviation Park in Redondo Beach. The students looked hard core... meaning to me ... looked like Olympic level athletes!! ... When my daughter refused to go to Karate, I would threaten her that I would enroll her at Salim Tae Kwon Do! ... This threat worked well because she was absolutely terrified of STK, because she witnessed how they would train at the park. She would get ready in 3 mins and out the door! Refuse chores? .. I only needed to say two words.. "Salim, Salim!" .., and this would entice her to do her chores! Anyhoo... onto how I eventually enrolled her at STK. My daughter was being bullied by a few boys in her class. So I Dropped her out of Karate and enrolled her into Salim Tae Kwon Do. "THE BEST PARENTAL DECISION I EVER MADE!!!" It's been 7 months since joining Salim, and in that short period I have seen an incredible transformation. My daughter is no longer the cowardly introverted little punching bag! Nope, she walks with confidence, her head up, shoulders back and kicks high and her form is strong! I am truly amazed with the positive transformation and it's all thanks to the teaching skills of Master Salim and his team! After a much anticipated re-opening of Salim Tae Kwon Do, their doors have finally opened inside the Southbay Galleria Mall. The new address is 1815 Hawthorne Blvd space 266 Redondo Beach 90278 Located on the 2nd floor near parking structure. Come & join the fun at Salim Tae Kwon Do and celebrate the re-opening with New mats, New Gear and tastefully furnished vibe. Master Salim and his dedicated staff will have your children mastering the concepts of Tae Kwon Do in no time! My daughter has been a student at Salim for a year now and it's the best decision ever made when it comes to outside school activities.

My calls and messages went unanswered, and I was not provided with any way to cancel. I made a good-faith effort to cancel the membership as instructed and respectfully request that the charges incurred after my cancellation attempt be reviewed and refunded.
