What a great store! So much stuff and so well organised. The Post is a great place for those starting out. It takes time to look through everything so make sure you have some time to spare as you hunt for everyday essentials, clothing, books, puzzles and other treasures. 3-4 months ago I would have gave 5/5 stars but since "new management" has come in prices have skyrocketed on majority of the items. IE selling used books with stains for $10 not a good business model For a business that gets all of its stock from donations they are/should be happy with whatever profit is made from the donated items. After all, they are not purchasing stock like Value Village does. You can tell that they must be haemorrhaging financially (due to paying wages for their small staff, not including the volunteers) because now they are closed on Mondays until spring and have added "new store policy" of asking everyone with a backpack on to leave it at the counter. Sorry but when you treat your long time patrons like shoplifters you will lose their business and quickly see why the Salvation Army will get it. They also removed a lot of items they said were not selling, but still dedicate two aisles to VHS cassettes (like those are flying off the shelves... Doubt it.) A good chunk of the store to is now books that for a few dollars extra you could buy at retail minus the stains and other damage. For two months or so they removed the 50% off the last Wednesday of every month special and that was a staple to their business. It has since returned after customers and donators stopped donating and their sales plummeted. The major thing THE POST and their Management need to understand is... Customers do NOT need The Post, but the Post needs Customers (and donations.) read more
