We went on Black Friday and they didn't have boxes for the jewelry we purchased and we got a plain plastic bag to carry our purchases out. I have night some great vintage toys and Christmas items and they have so much more. Sometimes an entire booth is 50% - 75% off. So, it's always nice to hear about a new thrift store that you can find great deals at, and this…read moredefinitely is one of those places! The clothing items were 3 dollars and some change or under, the dvds were 68 cents a piece?! Yep, less then a dollar! There was everything from fondue sets to board games and anything in between. It's definitely a one mans "trash" so to speak is another mans treasure sort of a place for sure...and your right, you may or may not find what your looking for. BUT isn't there something fun and exciting about the hunt for a good deal or the possibility of finding something absolutely fabulous?! I know I feel this way, and I surely can't be the only one! So if your ready for something new and exciting, hop by this place! The prices are pretty amazing (to say the least), and the workers are very nice and very helpful! The couple that owns this store are extremely friendly as well. The only drawback is that the owners often go on vacation, so the store might not be open as advertised. There also doesn't seem to be a huge demand for consignment shops in Ahoskie, so the merchandise doesn't change all that frequently. That being said, the owners have always been willing to negotiate the prices of pieces they've had for a while. Though there isn't any specific mark-down system based on time, they're extremely fair in their pricing. Be sure to check out the $1 and half-off racks located in the front of the store. I've found some nice brands in these places! My favorite purchase was a brand new Jones New York dress (retail value of $160) for $27! If you're in Ahoskie and love to shop, this place is definitely worth visiting!

I know I'm down south, but I've never received such a blatant display of racism...we were completely ignored, while they asked every other person in the store if they needed help, while they got different sizes for a woman in the dressing room, we walked around looking and never did anyone ask if we needed assistance, I even made eye contact with the younger girl and she just looked away! Oh well, I save some money because I brought something from the store every time I gone there!
